A laptop was reported stolen from a vehicle on Kennel Hill Drive at 5:10 p.m.
Police responded to an 11:04 p.m. report of a domestic disturbance at 48 Pleasant St. and arrested Francisco Diaz, 22, of 199 Chestnut St., Chelsea, on charges of assault, destruction of property and threatening to commit a crime.
Gunshots were reported on Brimbal Hill Drive at 9:19 a.m., but officers didn’t find anything suspicious.
A high-tension wire fell in front of Dunkin’ Donuts at 37 West St., according to a 3:53 p.m. report to the Fire Department. No injuries were reported, and firefighters stood by for about an hour while National Grid responded to the scene.
Police received a 7:30 p.m. report of a deer struck by a vehicle at 38 Andover St. “Deer was euthanized and disposed of,” an officer wrote.
An officer monitoring customer traffic at J.C. Penney at the Northshore Mall at 8:06 p.m. arrested Anthony Walcott, 37, of 15 Cherry St., Swampscott, on charges of larceny over $250 and possession of Mace without an FID card and Dennis Elswick, 36, of 43 Boston St., Salem, on charges of larceny over $250, attaching plates and operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license.
The DPW was contacted to pick up a dead sea gull on Seneca Road, according to a 7:36 a.m. report.
A 911 hang-up at 9:48 a.m. ended up bringing police to Oak Avenue, where they arrested Steven Thompson, 39, of 4 Oak Ave., Peabody, on a charge of domestic assault and battery.
Police responded after a Collins Street resident reported a disturbance next door at 10:55 a.m. Francis Daniel Bennett, 23, of 14 Collins St., Peabody, was arrested on charges of disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, three counts of assault and battery on a police officer, threatening to commit a crime, and defacing property.
A bicyclist was transported to Salem Hospital with unknown injuries after being struck by a motor vehicle at 111 Foster St., according to an 11:24 p.m. report.
