Salem restaurant to host Hurricane Sandy fundraiser

SALEM — A fundraiser for victims of Hurricane Sandy, which ravaged New Jersey and New York, will be held Tuesday at Finz restaurant.

“These are our neighbors, our relatives, our friends,” Finz owner George Carey said in a press release. “They are the visitors that pass through our doors, contribute to the success of Salem businesses, and of businesses all over the North Shore. With a shift of weather patterns, this could well have been our devastating loss.”

The 7-10 p.m. event includes appetizers from Finz, a buffet by Victoria Station, music by local bands, live and silent auctions, raffles, and a cash bar.

The event is co-sponsored by Finz and Social Palates, a local marketing firm.
