Towns collecting food for pantry

---- — The annual curbside donation drive for Acord Food Pantry is tomorrow.

Residents of Hamilton and Wenham are encouraged to put out donations of nonperishable food items by 9 a.m. Volunteers from the police and fire departments will collect and deliver the items to Acord, a nonprofit food pantry on Willow Street in Hamilton.

Donations — such as canned fruit, beans, pasta, soup, crackers and cereal — should be left at the end of your driveway, near the mailbox, in your recycling bin.

Organizers ask that you check the expiration dates of food items before donating.

Acord Food Pantry in downtown Hamilton is open twice a week, distributing food to residents of Hamilton, Wenham, Ipswich, Topsfield, Essex and Manchester-by-the-Sea. For more information, call 978-468-7424 or visit www.acordfoodpantry.org.
