Ronald H. Bruce, 49, who is listed as homeless, was arrested at 3:30 p.m. at 25 Essex St., by the gazebo on Beverly Common, and charged with disorderly conduct.

Fire Crews responded to 7 Butterworth Road around 7 p.m. for a report of smoke coming out of the gutters. Firefighters extinguished a mulch fire in front of the house that had been causing smoke to rise up through the siding, giving the appearance of fire in the gutters, according to Fire Capt. James Maggiacomo.
Leonardo F. Ferreras, 21, of 22 Essex St., Beverly was arrested at 3:23 a.m. at the intersection of Essex and Briscoe streets and charged with disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, assault and battery on a police officer and distrubing the peace.

Andrew Glucker, 26, of 241 Main St., Winthrop, was arrested at the Liberty Tree Mall at 5:57 p.m. and charged with disorderly conduct.
Melanie Arvilla-Russell, 30, of 35 Perkins St., Gloucester, and Melissa Coffey, 27, of 5 Long Hill Road, Holland, were arrested at Walmart, 55 Brooksby Village Drive, at 6:59 p.m. Police charged and Coffey with shoplifting, and charged Arvilla-Russell with shoplifting and illegal possession of a knife.

A caller reported at 4:45 p.m. that teens were playing in the woods near Taylor and Caplan streets and pushing each other down a hill while riding in a shopping cart. The teens were gone on arrival, but police spoke with a nearby group of youths who claimed it was not them.
Police responded at 8:29 p.m. to a report of a group of teens driving in a white, four-door car hitting various signs with bats. Police could not locate the vehicle.
A 49-year-old Bowditch Street resident drove his Jeep Grand Cherokee into a pole at the Trackside Bar and Grill, 30 Warren St., around 8:36 p.m. He was evaluated by ambulance personnel at the scene and refused transport, and the car was towed, according to police log information.
A Glen Drive caller told police at 8:44 p.m. that a black Camaro drove by his residence and threw eggs at his children, striking one of them.
A Salem driver in a red Subaru struck and damaged a pole by the intersection of Endicott Street and Parkview Lane around 9:35 p.m.
Police responded to a report of a car into a pole by the intersection of Main and Pierpont streets at 10:21 p.m., and the car was unoccupied. Police had the car, a green Toyota Camry, towed, and issued a summons for a 35-year-old Lynn resident on a charge of unlicensed driving.
Police took a report of a stolen car at 11:14 p.m. outside P.F. Chang's China Bistro at the Northshore Mall. An Amesbury resident reported that her Pontiac Grand Prix was stolen from outside the restaurant sometime around 7:30 p.m.
A North Central Street resident reported to police at 11:23 p.m. that a Sony amplifier and two subwoofers were stolen from his front hallway.

Ovel Santiago, 42, of 55 Veterans Memorial Drive, Peabody, was arrested at 12:25 a.m. at the intersection of Washington Street and Allens Lane and charged with drunken driving (second offense), three counts of drug possession, and failure to obey traffic signals.
Police responded to Tracey Street at 12:27 a.m. after reports of a loud party. An officer located the birthday party and asked them to move indoors.
Police arrested a 16-year-old resident on charges of unlicensed driving at 3:11 a.m. and transported other juveniles, who were passengers, to the police station to contact their parents.
Police investigated a report of a dog barking for 30 minutes at an Emerson Avenue residence at 4:47 a.m. The responding officer said that after 10 minutes, he was able to rouse the dog's owner and advised her to bring the dog in. The animal control officer was notified.
A Hathaway Avenue resident and a West Diane Road resident each reported damage to their mailbox, at 6:09 a.m. and 6:13 a.m., respectively.
Police responded to Phil's Towing, 65 North Central St., at 9:18 a.m. to speak to the owners about their dogs barking at night. Police said the owner is aware of the situation and has been putting his dogs in at night.
A 23-year-old Salem motorist reported at 12:47 p.m. that his Toyota Sienna was stolen while parked overnight on Foster Street by Metro Bowl. At 2:14 p.m., Danvers Police recovered the car on McDewell Avenue.
Police responded to an accident involving a car and a motorcycle at 314 Lowell St. at 3:54 p.m. The accident involved a 79-year-old Beverly man driving a Toyota Avalon and a 41-year-old Lynn man riding a motorcycle. The Lynn resident was transported by ambulance to Mass General and discharged later in the day.
A customer at Barnes and Noble on Andover Street reported at 7:23 p.m. that someone stole her wallet from her purse, which was hanging on the back of her chair.
Police responded to Brooksby Village at 8:35 p.m. and took a report from a motorist who said his Apple laptop computer was stolen from his unlocked car.
A Littles Lane resident reported at 9:12 p.m. that a GPS system and a radar system were stolen from his Toyota SUV.

William Casey, 21, of 60 Rantoul St., 106N, Beverly, was arrested at 1:09 a.m. on Littles Lane and charged with resisting arrest, assault and battery on ambulance personnel, disorderly conduct and attempting to commit a crime. A caller had reported a person under the influence in the rear yard.
Police responded to McIntire Court at 1:13 a.m. after a Salem man reported he was possibly jumped by unknown people. Police returned him to his residence in Salem.
Fabio Nicolau, 24, of 77 Locust St., Middleton, was arrested at 1:18 a.m. at the Hess gas station, 545 Lowell St. and charged with drunken driving and marked lanes violation.
A Manor Drive resident reported at 7:13 a.m. that the rear of his house was egged.
The animal control officer retrieved a loose dog (a black Lab) on Sherman Street at 12:17 a.m.

Arlete Rose Julien, 28, of 3 Pearl St., Salem, was arrested at 6:57 p.m. on Bridge Street and charged with assault and battery.
Cameron E. Kenyon, 19, of 9 Pickering Way, Salem, was arrested at 9:17 p.m. at 20 Central St. and charged with inhaling glue/toxic substance (a compressed gas duster), in addition to two outstanding warrants out of Salem District Court for drug-related offenses.
Edward M. McNulty, 32, of 180 Newbury St., Danvers, was arrested at 7:33 p.m. at 91 Lafayette St. and charged with heroin possession. Police officers reported that McNulty left drug paraphernalia in a Wendy's bathroom stall.

David James Boyd, 49, of 6 Essex St., Salem, was arrested at 11:20 p.m. at his residence and charged with domestic assault and battery.
Richard Estarilin Duran, 22, of 8 1/2 Woodside St., Salem, and Jurgen Llanai, 19, of 7 Cherry Hill Ave., Salem, were arrested at 3:55 p.m. on Washington Street on warrants out of Peabody District Court for armed robbery charges.

Police are investigating a report from a Cherry Street resident who visited the police station at 6:52 p.m. to report that someone is obtaining prescription drugs by using her name and date of birth at various Walgreens locations.

Colleen Frazier, 42, of 3 Belleair Drive, Swampscott, was arrested at 5:41 p.m. at her home and charged with domestic assault and battery and threatening to commit a crime.
Officers responded to the Vinnin Mobil, 525 Paradise Road, at 9:58 p.m. after two callers reported that the lights were on, but there was no gas station attendant. The Fire Department assisted the police to gain entrance to the station, and no one was in the store.

A Deer Cove Road resident reported at 12:32 a.m. that a loud party was keeping her awake. Upon arrival, police found a small group of adults whom were advised and moved inside.
A Vinnin Square store manager reported a running car in the parking lot with an unattended child sleeping in the back seat at 9:59 a.m. A police officer spoke with the parent.
A Hardy Road resident called police at 4:17 p.m. to report a raccoon in the yard that had not moved. Police notified the animal control officer.

Christian Dillin, 23, of 124 West 47 St., Bayonne, N.J., was arrested at 2:54 a.m. and charged with drunken driving, giving false information to a police officer, speeding, and a marked lane violation, following a motor vehicle stop on Route 1. Patrolman Shawn Frost made the arrest.
