Kick-off summer with themed games, tie-dye, face paint, contests, a jump in the bounce house, prizes and more at Ipswich High School Interact Club's Summer Kick-off Carnival from 8 to 11:30 a.m., at the polo field on Waldingfield Road in Ipswich. Bring a T-shirt to tie dye, or buy one at the tie-dying booth. Admission is $10 for children and $25 per family. All proceeds support the club's future projects. Everyone is welcome to attend.

Find out if a “rose is a rose is a rose” at Ipswich Museum's Old Rose Sale from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. Historic old rose bushes from the gardens at the Whipple House will be available for purchase for $25 each. All proceeds benefit Ipswich Museum's gardens. The sale will be held at the Whipple House at 1 South Village Green in Ipswich. For more information, call 978-356-8696.

Sail over to Fisherman's Beach at 10:30 a.m. for the Annual Harbor Festival in Swampscott. The festival kicks off with Swampscott Yacht Club’s Blessing of the Fleet at 10:30 a.m. The yacht club will be selling hamburgers and hot dogs. Then, at 1 p.m., Swampscott Rotary Club’s Duct Tape Regatta casts off and all proceeds raised will be used to fund clean-water projects. The Swampscott Public Library will host the local teen band concert from 4 to 9 p.m., featuring 10 of the hottest bands on the North Shore. Afterwards, if the weather cooperates, the yacht club will have a bonfire on Fisherman's Beach, which is located near the yacht club at 425 Humphrey St. All programs are free and open to the public.
