A Foster Street man reported at 12:45 a.m. that his girlfriend was refusing to leave his apartment. Police wrote later: “Officers spoke with unwanted party, unwanted party left without incident.”
A woman who spoke Spanish and English had called the department every two or three minutes “throughout the day,” according to a 9:02 a.m. log item. Police wrote: “Believe she is complaining about witches and demons in USA.”
Police conducted a traffic stop at Lowell Street and Lowell Street Court about 10:45 a.m. and arrested Brian M. Lepore, 44, of 12 Forenza Road, Peabody, on charges of operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license, operating an unregistered vehicle and attaching plates.
A woman at the Charles Motel on Mill Street who called police about 1 p.m. “is accusing her neighbors of stealing her cats and hiding them in different buildings,” police wrote. Later: “Officer reports that three outdoor cats have not yet returned home.”
Police and the Fire Department responded to 401 Essex St. after a 9:53 p.m. report that a fire alarm was sounding and determined somebody there had burned food.
A Glidden Street woman reported at 11:19 p.m. that she believed somebody had “changed the channel on her TV” while she was out. Police wrote: “Her house was locked and no signs of forced entry. She thinks her estranged husband may be responsible. There is no evidence of this.”
Police responded to 225 Essex St. after a 2:49 p.m. report that a woman in a gray sedan appeared to have passed out. “Checked the area but found no gray vehicle or woman sitting in a vehicle,” police wrote later.
Police received a 4:19 p.m. report that a $650 iPhone 5 had been stolen from an unsecured locker at the YMCA at 40 Leggs Hill Road.
An officer was unable to locate youths who were reported to be skateboarding in the parking garage at 2 East India Square at 4:25 p.m.
