Couple arrested on crack charges in Salem

SALEM — Police say they arrested a man and his girlfriend on crack cocaine distribution charges on Friday night.

Detective Kevin St. Pierre said police officers executed search warrants at 5 Pond St. and 129 Rainbow Terrace after conducting a three-week investigation that began after they received information about drug dealing in the area.

The focus of the probe, Ismael Pierre-Saint, 31, of 5 Pond St., Salem, was arrested on a charge of one count of possession of a class B drug with intent to distribute (crack cocaine), another count of possession of a class B drug with intent to distribute (Ecstacy) and making three sales of crack cocaine to an undercover officer, St. Pierre said.

Latoya Olson, 29, of 129 Rainbow Terrace, Salem, was arrested on charges of one count of possession of a class B drug with intent to distribute (crack cocaine) and another count of possession of a class B drug with intent to distribute (Ecstacy).

St. Pierre said Pierre-Saint lived at 5 Pond St. but often spent time at 129 Rainbow Terrace.

An undisclosed amount crack cocaine, Ecstacy and cash was seized during the raid, in addition to a Honda Odyssey minivan.
