Thursday

Police received a 2:50 p.m. report of kids “up to no good” on the tracks near Pinecliff Drive. “Kids took off, beer cans scattered about,” an officer wrote.

An intoxicated bicyclist struck a car at Pleasant and Washington streets, according to a 3:49 p.m. report. No injuries were reported.

An officer in Virginia contacted the department at 7:31 p.m. after coming across a “nice” motor vehicle linked to an address in Marblehead “with a homeless male inside.” Police determined that the owner of the vehicle was in Alexandria, Va., and that she was reporting the vehicle stolen.

Friday

A Broughton Road caller reported at 12:29 a.m. that her mother had hit her in the face during a fight “regarding medications that were taken.” Police spoke to the two, one of whom subsequently agreed to leave for the evening.

Thursday

A property manager at 401 Bridge St. requested assistance getting VIN numbers from abandoned vehicles at 4:58 p.m. “He attempted to get them himself, but there was a homeless woman in one of the vehicles with a pit bull,” wrote police. An officer helped him and reported nobody was in the area.

An officer responded to a 5:19 p.m. report of a stolen lamp worth $10 at 11 Church St., where a property manger had video footage of the theft. The officer and the property manager tracked down the woman responsible in a nearby apartment and “she turned over the lamp to us.”

A woman reported at 9:51 p.m. that she left a purse on the roof of her vehicle on Arthur Street and then drove away. An officer was unable to locate the purse, which was said to contain $80 in cash and business cards.

Friday

After several people were allegedly observed drinking alcohol on Pickering Wharf at about 8:30 a.m., police arrested the following on a charge of drinking in public: Sheena Tassone, 27, of 56 Margin St., Salem; Steven Levesque, 53, homeless; and Jonathan Benson, 40, of 56 Margin St., Salem.
