North Shore students are named Merit semifinalists

Several North Shore students have been named semifinalists in the 58th annual National Merit Scholarship Program. They are among 16,000 semifinalists competing for 8,300 National Merit Scholarships, which will be awarded next spring. Semifinalists must fulfill several requirements to advance to the finalist level of competition.

Local students named semifinalists are:

Waring School: Anders Erickson

Danvers High School: Jessica Lewis

St. John’s Preparatory School: David Danis

Marblehead High School: Kathleen Reilly and Nina Warner

Peabody Veterans Memorial High School: James Nakashian

Hamilton-Wenham Regional High School: Siobhan McDonough

Masconomet Regional High School: Naveen Reddy and Jessica Tin
