Middleton

Tuesday

Police Chief James DiGianvittorio stopped a motor vehicle on South Main Street at 3 p.m. for illegally attaching license plates and having no insurance, when the driver took off running. The chief stayed with the three other people in the car, and the driver, Nelson Beauchamp, 27, of 12 Pope St., Salem, was later apprehended and charged with driving with a revoked license, illegally attaching plates and driving with no insurance.

Salem

Tuesday

Police received a report at 5:12 p.m. of a 2006 Honda motorcycle stolen from Heritage Drive.

Police received a report at 10:24 p.m. of a break-in at an apartment at 286 Washington St. The culprit managed to get inside through a second-floor window. A laptop computer was stolen.

Wednesday

A 21-year-old Peabody man was involved in a crash at 211 Washington St., at 1:44 a.m. The driver, Marc A. Mullen, told police that the taxicab he was driving, a 1994 Lincoln Town Car, had a problem with the steering. He said he jerked the wheel and the car oversteered, causing it to go off the road, hitting two trees, two no-parking signs and a light pole, all of which are owned by the city of Salem. The car had heavy front-end damage. The cab company that owns the car is Tri-City Services.

Police received a report at 4:27 a.m. of woman picking through the trash and leaving a mess. Police found the woman, who was looking for cans and bottles to return. Police cleaned up the mess and sent the woman on her way.

A man who hired a stripper to come to his High Street home reported to police at 4:50 a.m. that his wallet is missing. He said he didn't see the stripper take the wallet and he doesn't know the name of the company he called. Police told the man to call again when he has a clearer head and can look around the apartment for the wallet.

A Lafayette Street resident reported to police at 6:14 a.m. that his apartment was broken into and dresser drawers rifled through. His rent money, jewelry and prescription medication were stolen. There was no sign of forced entry.

Police responded to Washington Square south at 8:47 a.m. after receiving a report of a bag of hypodermic needles being found.

Police received a report at 2:13 p.m. of a car stolen from Boston Street.

Danvers

Tuesday

Wayne Keller, 64, of 6 Grandview Road, Danvers, was arrested at 8:16 p.m. and charged with domestic assault and battery at his residence.

Police responded to Papa Gino's on Route 114 at 11:23 p.m., following a report of a fight.

Police took a report at 11:26 p.m. of an assault at the skate park on Conant Street.

Wednesday

Wendi Mattos, 42, of 15 Purchase St., Danvers, was arrested at 6:51 a.m. and charged with trespassing and larceny (under $250), following a report of a suspicious vehicle on Bow Street.

Peabody

Tuesday

Police received reports of an unregistered motorcycle speeding up and down Winnegance Avenue.

Police received a report at 6:46 p.m. of a car stolen from the Macy's parking lot at the Northshore Mall. Police helped find the woman's car in the parking lot.

Marblehead

Monday

Police received a report at 4:30 p.m. of kids out on a field on Lime Street shooting arrows from a bow. Police found the children, who were with their parents, and sent them on their way.

Tuesday

Police received a report at 6:15 a.m. of a car break-in on Norman Street.

Police received a report at 2:15 p.m. of kids acting recklessly at the Village Street pier.

Wednesday

Richard D. Grundy, 50, of 6 North Pine St., Salem, was arrested at 12:36 p.m. and charged with drunken driving, following a single-vehicle crash near 61 Tedesco St., near the Palmer Road intersection. The car left the road and struck a tree. Police, firefighters and Atlantic Ambulance responded. Police said the driver was out of the car when they arrived at the scene. He was arrested and taken to Salem Hospital as a precaution.

A worker fell 10 to 15 feet from staging at a home at 10 West Orchard St. at 1:46 p.m. The Salem man was conscious and alert when help arrived. He was taken to Salem Hospital.

Beverly

Tuesday

Raymond P. Rogalski, 18, of 4 Gary Ave., Beverly, was arrested at 11:32 p.m. and charged with attempting to commit a crime and two counts of breaking and entering in the nighttime to commit a felony, following a report of a man going through cars on Conant Street.

Wenham

Wednesday

Kyle Cassidy, 22, of 193 Pleasant St., Epping, N.H., was arrested at 8 p.m. and charged with driving with a revoked license, following a motor-vehicle stop on Meridian Road. Patrolman Shane Kavanagh made the arrest.
