World War II vet to speak at ceremony

SALEM — Thaddeus Buczko will be the guest speaker during Veterans Day services on Wednesday.

Buczko, a former Salem state representative, state auditor and Probate Court judge, is a World War II U.S. Army veteran.

Buczko will speak at the city's annual Veterans Day ceremony, which begins at 11 a.m. at the Salem High School auditorium. A luncheon will follow at VFW Post 1524, 95 Derby St.

To start the week, the Salem Veterans Council will hold a military Mass at 11:30 a.m. on Sunday at St. John the Baptist Church, 28 St. Peter St.
