Celebrating holiday sweaters

Like ribbon candy and fruitcake, they are Christmas traditions some people could live without.

We are talking about the ubiquitous holiday sweater — the fashion staple of the season complete with snowflakes, reindeer and occasional bells.

To have some fun this year, we would like photos of the best — or worst — Christmas sweaters out there. If you have one, try it on, take a picture and send it to The Salem News. Perhaps you could share a photo of a mother or a grandmother sporting the holiday garb.

We also want your photos of the best (or again worst) holiday ties. If they require batteries, all the better.

Please send to snphotos@salemnews.com and write "Holiday Clothing" in the subject line. Please include a name and phone number. All entries must be received by Dec. 15.
