Carlos L. Mendez, 26, of 22 Moulton St., Lynn, was arrested at 8:30 p.m. and charged with drunken driving, driving to endanger, driving while unlicensed, driving with an unregistered vehicle, an open container violation and two red light violations, following a report of an erratic driver on North Street, Essex Street and Highland Avenue. A witness following the Chevrolet sedan told police the driver drove through two red lights. At the scene, police said Mendez was unsteady on his feet and had bloodshot and glassy eyes, slurred speech, and an odor of alcohol on his breath.
A man driving a 2003 Honda Odyssey went to the police station at 9:24 p.m. to report he struck someone riding a bike on Norman Street with his van. The driver told police he was on Summer Street and taking a left onto Norman Street when he struck a man riding a bike. The driver told police he was going between 15 and 20 mph. The driver said the bicyclist was not hurt and did not want any assistance from police or firefighters. He also didn't want to give his name.
Police received a report at 10:53 p.m. of a Buffum Street resident who said all four tires on his 1996 Nissan Sentra were slashed.
A woman at the yield sign on Jefferson Avenue at Canal Street told police she was rear-ended, and the driver of the car that hit her left the scene after saying she would pay for any damage, but didn't leave her contact information. The driver who left told the woman she was a student at Salem State College and lives at a dorm. The woman told police her back hurt from the crash, but she didn't want an ambulance. She said she'd drive to the hospital herself.
A driver on Washington Street told police he lost control and crashed after going over black ice. The driver told police at 5:23 a.m. that he was able to drive the car off the road. Police notified the public works department to de-ice the roads.
A Georgetown man reported to police at 9:16 a.m. that his snowplow was stolen from his Bridge Street business.
A man turned in a gold chain necklace with two stones attached that he found on Church Street.

Police received reports at 7:20 and 9:20 p.m. of car break-ins in Route 1 restaurant parking lots. The first report came from the Chili's parking lot on Route 1 south. Two hours later, two cars were targeted at The Hardcover on Route 1 north.

Police received a report at 12:20 p.m. of a break-in at a Colgate Street residence.

Sebastiao Souza, 36, of 24 Collins St., Apt. 2, Peabody, was arrested at 11 p.m. and charged with driving while unlicensed and driving without insurance, following a motor vehicle stop on Swampscott Avenue.
Monday
David Wendell, 46, of 10 Balcomb St., Salem, was arrested at 1:33 a.m. and charged with drunken driving (third offense), speeding and an equipment violation, following a motor vehicle stop on Fulton Street.
Police received a report at 8:45 a.m. of a car break-in at Homewood Suites Hotel on Route 1.
Richard F. Ghiozzi Jr., 22, of 1506 Huckleberry Court, Peabody, was arrested at 9 a.m. at Lahey Clinic North in Peabody on a warrant for domestic assault (two counts), malicious destruction of property more than $250, and breaking and entering in the nighttime to commit a felony. The warrant came following an incident at his residence on Sunday at 8:52 p.m.
April B. Paolini, 38, of 7 McIntire Court, Apt. 3, Peabody, was arrested at noon and charged with larceny of more than $250 at Haven From Hunger on Wallis Street.

Nathan C. Kilgour, 25, of 81 High St., Ipswich, was arrested at 4:28 a.m. and charged with domestic assault and battery, assault and battery upon an elderly person, and malicious destruction of property more than $250 at his residence.
