BOXFORD — One person has died in a car accident on Lawrence Road near the North Andover line today.

The car appears to have been headed east on Lawrence Road in Boxford, just a couple hundred yards past the North Andover line, when it veered to the right and went off the narrow, winding road before hitting a snow bank and then a utility pole.

The driver died at the scene, according to police and fire officials.

Accident reconstruction specialists from the State Police were on scene, along with Boxford police and fire officials.

Lawrence Road was shut to traffic from Brookview Road in Boxford to Salem Street in North Andover.
