Beverly School Committee seeks citizen representatives

---- — BEVERLY — The Beverly Public Schools is looking for volunteers to serve as citizen representatives on two School Committee subcommittees.

The two subcommittees are the Finance and Facilities subcommittee and the Curriculum, Instruction and Student Life subcommittee. There are two citizen representatives on each.

Representatives would serve for the same two-year period as elected School Committee members, from January 2014 through December 2015.

Meetings are generally held one Wednesday evening per month between September and June, with additional meetings scheduled as needed.

The citizen representatives are appointed by the School Committee president in consultation with the standing committee chairperson. Anyone interested in serving should submit a letter of interest by the end of December to Beverly Public Schools, Attention: Beverly School Committee, 502 Cabot St., Beverly, MA 01915.
