Police dispersed a group playing poker in Independence Park at 2:26 a.m.
A caller reported hearing gunshots at 15 Broadway at 8:40 a.m. Police checked the building and determined no one was inside and did not find anything out of order.
Police took a report of a vandalized, broken car window on Northridge Road at 8:53 a.m.
Between 10:15 a.m. and 2:30 p.m., police ran radar on Hart Street and stopped two cars for speeding and issued one verbal warning and one citation; on Hale Street, stopping three cars for speeding and issuing three verbal warnings; and near Cove Elementary School, stopping two cars for speeding and issuing one citation and one verbal warning.
Police responded to Highland Avenue at 12:49 p.m. to take a report of a stolen cell phone and Klonopin.
An employee at Blueberry Hill Skilled Nursing on Brimbal Ave. notified police at 4:43 p.m. that a patient had a contraband substance. Police searched the patient's room and found nothing.
Corey Lucey, 30, of 515 Pleasant St., Melrose, and Garrett Lucey, 28, of 219 Albion St., Wakefield, were arrested at 4:55 p.m. at 28 Broadway and charged with possession of Klonopin with intent to distribute. Garrett Lucey was also charged with carrying a dangerous weapon.
Christopher Definis, 22, of 74 Cabot St., Beverly, was arrested at his residence at 7:50 p.m. and charged with assault with a dangerous weapon and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.
Police were called to Enon Street at 10:52 p.m. to disperse a group of kids kicking around a soccer ball.
Police were called to Sohier Road at 11:08 p.m., at the complex where Roller Palace and Soccer, Etc. are located, for a report that a man was punched in the face. Police advised both parties of their rights and took a report.
Thursday
Police reported to a Blake Street residence at 2:25 a.m. in response to reports of a man and woman yelling. The unwanted guests left.
A school van transporting students was bumped from behind at the railroad tracks on Elliott Street near Beckford Street at 8:35 a.m. According to the police log, "The bump did not even disturb the dust on the van bumper. ... All passengers were happy and unaffected."
Police responded to the intersection of Wirling Drive and Nelson Avenue at 8:35 a.m. where a property dispute is ongoing. Police advised the involved parties to seek mediation through the courts.
Police took a report of vandalism to a car at 8:35 a.m. on Heather Street.
A caller reported a loud bang in the area of 980 Hale St. at 9:06 a.m. caused by an electric transformer explosion. National Grid was on scene, according to the police log.
Police responded to a Cabot Street residence at 12:16 p.m. because someone was yelling inside a house.
A caller reported loud construction noise on Pierce Avenue at 1:49 p.m.

Police took a report of larceny at Guitar Center, 120 Andover St., at 3:15 p.m.
Cory Francis, 37, of 110 Magnolia Ave., Gloucester, and Joseph Dudley, 38, of 12 Bristow St., Saugus, were arrested at Walmart, 55 Brooksby Village Drive, and charged with shoplifting.

Police took a report of illegal dumping at 50 Buxton Road at 6:57 a.m.
Police took a report of a car accident with injuries at the intersection of Commonwealth Avenue and Federal Street at 2:32 p.m.

A caller reported that a man was drinking in his car at the Oak Grove Cemetery on Pine Street at 2:53 p.m. Police sent the man on his way.
A caller left a message with the animal control officer that a baby squirrel was on the ground at the base of a tree in a Buttonwood Lane yard. The officer advised the resident to leave the animal alone and also gave the number for MassWildlife.
Police were called to Main Street at 4:44 p.m. in response to a caller who said people were drinking in the driveway and being loud. Police reported that all was in order.
Police will issue a citation to a driver of a van registered out of Bridgewater for allegedly striking another vehicle on Centennial Drive at 5:17 p.m. and fleeing the scene, as well as operating negligently.
Police will summons Catarina Sousa, 19, of 5 Lincoln Road, Peabody, on charges of driving on a suspended licence, following an accident with a pedestrian on Wallis Street at 6:08 p.m.
A caller reported an argument between two people causing a disturbance at Walgreens, 35 Main St., at 7:10 p.m. Both parties were gone when police arrived.
Police will summons Richard Defusco, 27, of 18 Warren St. on charges of lewd, wanton and lascivious conduct, following a complaint from a neighbor that he was conducting a lewd act at 7:11 p.m.
A Wisconsin resident called police to report that a laptop computer and a GPS were stolen from his car at the YMCA, 259 Lynnfield St.
A caller on Wheeler Street reported that dogs were barking at 11:09 p.m. A police officer reported it was quiet upon arrival.
Police checked on people with electrical equipment who said there were testing signal strength at the Northshore Mall at 11:29 p.m. Police notified mall security, who were unaware of any company that should be working on the property. The parties were sent on their way.

Police searched the area around Homestead Suites and Hotel at 12:26 a.m. for a woman who reportedly knocked on a window of a hotel guest to ask for an ambulance; she appeared to have been assaulted. Police searched surrounding businesses, streets, hotels and hospitals but could not locate her.
A North Central Street caller reported hearing gunshots at 4:32 a.m. Police checked the area and didn't locate anything.
A Beeman Road resident reported at 7:31 a.m. that a GPS and a garage-door opener were stolen from her unlocked car sometime overnight.
An Eastman Park resident reported at 9 a.m. that cash was stolen from the glove box of her car and the ignition was damaged.
Police took a report at 10:24 a.m. that a green Mercury Sable was taken from a lot on Wallis Street sometime overnight.
The animal control officer assisted a Cortland Street resident in getting a bird out of his porch.
Police will summons Linda Moutsoulas, 60, of 9 Sprague St., Peabody, for driving after her license was suspended. She was involved in a car accident on Gardner Street at 2:05 p.m.
A Bay State Boulevard resident reported that her cat is missing. Spunky is skinny and is gray and white.

A Forrester Street resident reported at 5:53 p.m. that his unlocked bicycle, valued at about $200, had been stolen from his backyard while he was at school.
Following a complaint about a suspicious motor vehicle at 7:38 p.m., police advised a trash picker on Jefferson Avenue to just pick up the trash and not make a mess.
Police responded to Mall Street at 8:11 p.m. after a resident reported that her four dogs were missing after she had put them inside her parked car while she showed her house, which is for sale. When she came out to her car about an hour later, the dogs were gone. They are black and white Shih Tzus, about 13 years old.
Police have received numerous complaints regarding the property at 289 Derby St. (the old Dave and Jack's) that homeless people have been setting up sleeping areas along the building and the edge of the South River, frequenting the overgrown lot and drinking.
Thursday
Police approached a man sleeping on Dead Horse Beach at 7:27 a.m. and advised him not to camp in his sleeping bag on the beach. He was allowed to finish his breakfast and advised that he could sunbathe on top of his sleeping bag.
A Roslyn Street resident reported at 8:20 a.m. that someone smashed the passenger-side window of his car and stole several items sometime overnight.
A motorist on Boston Street reported at 8:56 a.m. that another driver, who was slumped over his wheel, crossed the double yellow line and struck two parked cars on the opposite side of the street. The driver who struck the other vehicles, a Salem resident, later related to police that he was tired. Police issued him a citation for a marked-lanes violation.
A worker doing renovations on Fowler Street found a rifle round in the street at 10:18 a.m. and turned it over to police, who logged it into evidence for destruction.
Police responded to Ropes Street upon receiving complaints about disturbances and unruly activity by squatters who have taken over a first-floor apartment.
A man reported that while he was at Starbucks, 211 Washington St., on Wednesday morning, he left his laptop computer unattended and someone stole the power adapter.
Police responded to the intersection of Loring and Jefferson avenues at 3:14 p.m. where a motorist driving a Volvo struck a 15-year-old girl who lives on Federal Street. Police took a report, and no citations were issued.
A High Street resident reported harassing phone calls at 3:51 p.m.

At 3:33 p.m., police took a report of a breaking and entering into a car on Paradise Road.
Sabrina L. Joyce, 53, of 44 Acorn St., Malden, was arrested at 1005 Paradise Road at 4:30 p.m. and charged with larceny over $250 by false pretense, attempt to commit larceny over $250, possession of a Class C substance with intent to distribute, and possession of a Class C substance.
Police took a report of a hit-and-run accident on Redington Street at 7:51 p.m.
