Police responded to 79 Bridge St. at 2:40 a.m. on a report of a suspicious party climbing to the second floor of an apartment building. Police made contact with the party, who had been staying on the third floor and was locked out.

Police received a call from 207 Loring Ave. at 11:36 a.m. regarding malicious destruction of property. According to the log, the resident reported her wooden fence on the edge of her yard was damaged sometime during the previous night. It appeared as though a section of her fence had been kicked in, but she didn’t see or hear anyone, nor did the neighbors. This is the third time her fence has been damaged.

Police responded to 5 Ober St. at 1:52 p.m. regarding a report of theft of medication from an apartment building. The resident reported that between 7:30 and 9:30 a.m. an unknown suspect stole his prescribed Ambien, tramadol and Fiorinal pills. No forced entry reported to the home.

At 2:21 p.m., a resident from 10 Jefferson Ave. reported that someone had removed her mailbox from the porch of her business by unscrewing it and leaving it on the ground, the log said.

Friday

A caller from Market Square reported a complaint at 12:27 a.m. regarding an upstairs neighbor that was earlier kicked out of the apartment and is now in the common hallway pounding on the door to get back inside. According to the log, the male party was locked out.

Swampscott

Thursday

A caller from 948 Humphrey St. reported to police at 7:12 a.m. that a driver was flagged down by an elderly man who requested he call police. According to the log, the elderly man said he thought someone might have been in his basement.

At 12:10 p.m., a caller from 30 Curry Circle reported that he is a contractor and the key that was left for him to access the house and do work appears to be missing. It was unknown if another contractor took it, or if someone used it to gain access to the house.
