A “physical altercation” in the parking lot over a motor vehicle accident was reported to police at CVS/Pharmacy, 85 LynnField St., at 1:48 p.m. An officer reports one vehicle rolled into the other, and there was no damage on either vehicle. “Both parties separated and sent on their way,” according to the log.

A water main leak was reported at the intersection of Canal and Meadow streets at 9:06 a.m. The Department of Public Works was notified.

Monday

A store supervisor at 272 Highland Ave. reported to police at 9:39 a.m. that she suspects a couple was shoplifting in the store about an hour before. The couple was gone on arrival of police.

A turkey was reported hit by a car on Sophia Road at 1:29 p.m. The deceased bird was picked up and disposed of at DPW, according to the log item.

Stolen “game systems” were reported at 26 Wisteria St. at 4:19 p.m. A Nintendo Wii system valued at $250 was stolen last month, and an X-Box 360 Elite valued at $400 was stolen Wednesday. A brother has admitted to stealing and selling both systems. A police report had to be filed for them to be turned over, according to the log item.

A person reported to police at 9:54 a.m. that a motor vehicle loaded with various metal was abandoned at the old cemetery dump.

Police issued a criminal citation to a person parked in a fire lane at Stop & Shop, 450 Paradise Road, at 11:07 a.m. after it was determined the person had a suspended license. The citation was mailed to the person, who was not identified in the log.

A sick or wounded raccoon was reported in the backyard of 96 Walker Road at 1:49 p.m. “Animal was picked up,” according to the log.
