Tuesday

Police were called to Webb Street at 7:48 p.m. over concerns regarding four noisy men sitting on a couch in front of a garage. They said they were waiting for a truck to take the couch to one man's apartment. Police told them to wait more quietly.

A plastic key chain and three gold keys found hanging on the front door of the Northshore Bank didn't open any of the doors. Police took the keys for safekeeping at 8:36 p.m.

A medical call ended in arrest on Boston Street when police determined at 9:09 p.m. that the woman suspected of overdosing — she told police she was only sleeping — had an outstanding warrant for failing to pay fines stemming from a shoplifting charge.

Kenny L. Hudson, 29, of 16 Rand Circle, Danvers, was arrested on Jefferson Avenue at 9:56 p.m. by Patrolmen William Olivieri, Shawn McLellan and Daniel Tucker and Sgt. Frederick Ryan on charges of breaking and entering and violating a protective order. He was also wanted on a warrant from Dedham. Police responded to a report of a man climbing through a window and found Hudson with his ex-girlfriend, the mother of his child, who has a restraining order against him. The woman, however, declined to cooperate, police say. Hudson told police he always enters the apartment through the window.

Wednesday

The Fire Department extinguished an outside pit fire on Boston Street at 1:08 a.m.

Two purses, one a black Giani Bernini, were found at the Salem Common, according to the log at 6:01 a.m.

A property owner on Congress Street reported his building was "badly tagged" by graffiti.

A man turned in a laptop computer found on the Salem Common, according to a 7:30 a.m. log entry.

A woman on Cedarcrest told police two women showed up on her property and tried to take metal from the yard. They said "they had permission from her husband," according to the log. They didn't. And they left. Police know one suspect and will keep an eye out for any return.

Michael J. Politano, 29, of 8 Randall St., Salem, was arrested on North Street at 8:34 a.m. by Patrolman DeeJay Gagnon on charges of driving with a suspended license, no registration and no insurance and for an outstanding warrant.

A video tape from a T bus may reveal the license plate of a hit-and-run gray car that struck a woman walking on Highland Avenue and knocked her to the ground, according to the police report at 9:55 a.m. Salem detectives have contacted the T police in hopes of obtaining the tape.

A woman missing on Rainbow Terrace returned home where she got into a dispute with her mother over drinking and gambling. Police pointed out at 10:36 a.m. that the daughter is an adult who can come and go as she pleases.

Police received a report at 10:42 a.m. that a man on Federal Street had the inspection sticker stolen from his scooter sometime overnight. There are no witnesses.

A man on Jefferson Avenue reported to police at 12:41 p.m. that three tools, two demolition hammers and a welding machine valued at $1,300 were taken from a locked, gated area sometime in the past two weeks.

A driver on Jefferson Avenue was cited after he struck a pedestrian, according to the log at 1:26 p.m. The victim, though shaken and sitting on the curb when police arrived, said he was struck slightly in the right knee by the Chevy Malibu.

A woman complained at 3:38 p.m. that someone was following her. She suggested a name, and police recognized it.

Three dogs drew police attention after complaints came that they were running loose outside the Leslie's Retreat Dog Park. The owner told police all three dogs were registered. They weren't. She will receive a $75 fine.

Peabody

Tuesday

Edwin Martinez Burke, 20, of 5 McIntire Court, Peabody, was arrested on Wallis Street at 2:07 by Officer Richard Cameron on a charge of disorderly conduct. This was leveled after police attempted to arrest Burke on three outstanding warrants.

A two-car accident on Lynn Street at 3:40 p.m. sent one person to the hospital with injuries.

Wires were cut on Glendale Avenue when a cement truck snagged them, according to the log at 4:20 p.m.

A 40-year-old Lynn resident will be summonsed for shoplifting in Sears, according to a 5:06 p.m. log entry.

Police refereed a dispute over parking at Salon Capela on Main Street, advising the owner not to confront anybody but "next time to call the police station or tow company," according to the log.

A report of "people throwing fireworks from a silver Honda Civic," according to the log, brought police to Sutton Street near Milk Street. The firebrands could not be located.

Wednesday

A woman reported an assault at 1:05 a.m. She was taken to Salem Hospital by Atlantic Ambulance, according to the log. Police attempted to call a sexual assault investigator.

Two girls found playing in Marrs Park with several other kids at 1:09 a.m. were taken to their homes by police.

Police investigated after taking a call on "multiple new graffiti" appearing at West Memorial School, according to the log at 5:51 a.m.

The animal control officer "scooped" four motherless skunks near the T.J. Maxx on Lowell Street and later brought them to "a licensed wildlife rehabilitator in Wilmington," according to the log at 9:51 a.m.

David Oth, 21, of 17 Magnolia Terrace, Peabody, was arrested at 12:08 p.m. by Detective Eric Ricci on a charge of possessing a Class B drug with intent to distribute it, a subsequent offense near a school or park.

The animal control officer was looking into the condition of a dog on Pierpont Street at 1:34 p.m. "A neighbor provided the dog with water as the small, black dog was missing both food and water. Additionally, the dog is living in questionable conditions," according to the log.

Marblehead

Tuesday

Police responded at 8:46 to multiple calls of a child hit by a car in the vicinity of Atlantic Avenue and Wyman road.

A solar light was taken from a front yard on Waldron Street, according to a log entry at 10:47 a.m.

Protesters returned to the post office at 11:03 a.m. In the past, they have depicted the president with a Hitler mustache. One complaint noted that they "were upsetting elderly women who had family that were victims/survivors of the Holocaust," according to the log. But postal officials noted they were not on post office property. And police confirmed that they aren't blocking anything. An officer remained on scene.

A man on Nicholson Street complained at 12:18 p.m. that a woman had her van parked in the only parking spot in the area for five days. "She is not being fair by taking it all the time," he said, according to the log. He can't trim his holly bush because the van is blocking access. Police checked and reported "no issues."

A gardener on Ralph Road told police at 1:10 p.m. that workmen had advised her to buy an extra 10 pounds of grass seed for her lawn. She bought 20. "She related they spread some, then took the rest," according to the log. "She called and asked him how much they put out and she was told not to worry and that it would grow. She said it looks terrible."

A woman told police at 3:15 p.m. she thinks people have been targeting her for her parking habits on Farrell Court. Her side mirror was twisted backward, her windshield wipers bent and a greasy substance smeared on her car. She asked for extra patrols.

Skateboarding kids were suspected when flowers were ripped from their pots outside an Atlantic Avenue shop. No one saw them do it, but a witness said "the pots were intact prior to them going by and now they are torn apart," according to the log. Police were unable to locate the kids.

A resident on Essex Street worried about "three kids skateboarding in and out of traffic," according to the log at 6:12 p.m. "Afraid they will get hit."

A Jaguar on Devereux Street was hit by vandals, according to a 7:04 p.m. log entry.

Screaming and banging caused a resident on Merritt Street to wonder what sort of mayhem was going on in the apartment upstairs. He called police 8:41 p.m. They discovered a 16-year-old locked in her bedroom and trying to get attention. The Fire Department had to be summoned to help her get out.

A man told police at 8:42 p.m. that he visited to bring toys to his young ones after which his ex-wife texted him saying "he is always disturbing her and don't come back or she will call the police," according to the log.

Beverly

Tuesday

Police responded to a report of a dog stuck in a car with the windows up at 4:20 p.m. "Dog OK," reads the log subsequently, "windows open."

Playing basketball on public streets is not OK, according to police. A man was informed of this on Glidden Way at 5:38 p.m.

Police investigated alleged threats from a delivery man on Enon Street at 5:53 p.m.

A strong odor of gas at Salters Point was brought to the attention of the harbormaster at 8:30 p.m. "They will check it out," according to the log.

A frozen water balloon was thrown on a woman walking on Cedar Street at 9:56 p.m. "The object struck her arm," according to the log. "She declined any medical attention." The offending vehicle could not be identified.

A pink purse was found on the common and turned in at 10:10 p.m.

Jay Robert Moulaison, 44, of 23 Desmond Ave., Manchester-by-the-Sea, was arrested in the vicinity of Cabot Street and Franklin Place at 10:28 p.m. by Patrolmen Jason Lantych and Mark Panjwani and charged with indecent exposure.

Wednesday

A report of a domestic disturbance at 4:06 a.m. was revealed to be people who had "received notification of a death in the family and were upset," according to the log.

A bicyclist was reportedly hit by a vehicle at 9:28 a.m. on Hale Street. The bicyclist went over the hood and landed on the pavement. An ambulance was called, although the injuries did not seem major.

A man yelling at a DPW tree crew on Walnut Avenue at 10:13 a.m. was concerned that they were planting near a gas line. He was told to tell the DPW coordinator.

Danvers

Tuesday

Police responded to a report of larceny involving lottery tickets at the Corner Grocery Store on Hobart Street at 8:26 p.m.

Paul Narbonne, 34, of 2 Herrick Road, Peabody, and Derek Ryder, 25, of 179 Mount Vernon St., Malden, were arrested at Danvers Ford at 9:47 by Officer Jason Skane on charges of breaking and entering, larceny, causing malicious damage, and having burglary tools.

Yelena Shamray, 20, of 35 Collins St., Danvers, was arrested at home at 10:20 p.m. by Officer Scott Frost on a charge of domestic assault and battery.
