Man arrested after alleged pot transaction

SALEM — A 28-year-old Salem man was arrested last night after police said he sold marijuana to a 16-year-old.

Police said they spotted a drug transaction between Anthony R. Done, of 39 Buffum St., and a 16-year-old Salem boy in front of Mark's Market on Harbor Street at 6:36 p.m.

The 16-year-old walked away following the transaction and he was later stopped by police and found to have a baggie with what is believed to be marijuana.

Police later found Done sitting on a car hood across from 16 Park St., which is one block away from Mark's Market.

Police arrested Done and found three $10 bags of marijuana in his pocket and a larger bag of marijuana along with $1,329 in cash and two cell phones.

Police charged him with distribution of marijuana, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, conspiring to violate drug laws, and possession with intent to distribute in a school zone (Salem Charter School).
