A breast cancer awareness fundraiser for Tina McCarthy, a breast cancer survivor raising money for the American Cancer Society’s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk, will be held Saturday, Oct. 20, from noon to 4 p.m. at the Peabody Elks, 40 Oak St. The event will feature raffles, a cash bar, manicures, costume jewelry for sale and other vendors.
A charity yard sale to mark breast cancer awareness will take place Sunday, Oct. 21, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. (rain date Sunday, Oct. 28) at 7 Longwood Ave., Peabody. One hundred percent of all money collected will be donated to breast cancer awareness, and all unsold items will be donated to The Salvation Army. Donated items to sell are still being accepted.
