Police: Peabody crash victim was Lynn man

PEABODY — State police have identified the victim of Monday’s fatal SUV crash on Route 128 as Isaias Lopez-Solis, a 19-year-old Lynn man.

Troopers say Lopez-Solis was one of three passengers in a 1998 Toyota 4Runner that struck a guardrail on the right side of Route 128 south just north of Lowell Street and rolled over.

Police are investigating whether speed and weather conditions were factors in the crash, which occurred around 6:20 p.m. as Hurricane Sandy pounded the region. No other vehicles were involved in the accident.

Passengers Frederico Lopez, 18, and Antonio Ramirez, 31, both of Lynn, were ejected from the vehicle during the crash and subsequently transported to Massachusetts General Hospital, where Lopez-Solis was later pronounced dead.

The driver, Rony Lopez, 26, of Lynn, was not ejected and was transported to Salem Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
