Sean G. O'Sullivan, 44, of 10 Spring St. in Marblehead, was arrested and charged with operating a motor vehicle after revocation and operating a motor vehicle without an inspection sticker at 10:01 a.m. on Pleasant and Cross streets.

A Trager Road resident said she has received two calls from scammers who pretend to be some kind of law enforcement agency attempting to fish for money. Police documented the incident at 1:58 p.m.

Beverly

Thursday

Police took a report of a past sexual assault on Park Street at 5:13 p.m., which they later concluded was false and was in fact retaliation for "petty larceny."

Some beer was reported stolen from a Brimbal Avenue address at 2:10 a.m. Police said the offender promised to make "restitution of the beer."

Giovanni D. Buchanan, 17, of 80 Sagamore St. in Lynn, was arrested and charged with resisting arrest and assault and battery on a police officer at 12:19 p.m. on Hardy Street.

Tyler M. Freeman, 17, of 7 Arlington Ave. in Beverly, was arrested and charged with drug possession and unlicensed operation at 12:19 p.m. on Hardy Street.

Salem

A resident of Becket Street was sick of his neighbor's dog going to the bathroom on his lawn. After repeated conversations with the neighbor's girlfriend about the issue, the neighbor told the resident "that if (he) speaks to his girlfriend again about the dog going to the bathroom on his property he would knock his lights out." The resident wanted the police to speak to the neighbors about the matter but didn't want any further action taken at 6:41 p.m.

Michael J. McCausland, 33, of 56 Margin St. in Salem, was arrested and charged with trespassing at 9:42 p.m. on Lafayette Street.

Friday

Police broke up a group of college students that had entered the woods near Harrison Road and started a small bon fire. The fire was put out around 12:27 a.m.

Laura B. Fleming, 29, of 74 Margin St. in Peabody, was arrested and charged with drunken driving at 1:04 a.m. near Bridge Street and James Ayube Bypass Road.

David A. Couture, 21, of 28 Grant St. in Dracut, was arrested and charged with drinking in public. Cans of Natural Lite beer littered the ground on Broadway Street near the area of a reported large fight. Police arrived on scene at 1:07 a.m. and found a group of about 10 people outside but no fight.

Fire officials quickly extinguished a fire that was burning under a porch on Barstow Street at 5:12 a.m.

A Willow Avenue resident received a notice from the IRS when he tried to file his taxes that someone had already done so under his Social Security number. He was instructed by the federal organization to file a police report, which he did at 10:48 a.m.

A woman who told police that she took her eyes off the road for a minute, rear-ended a vehicle on North Street, pushing the other car into a third vehicle, which ended up rear-ending a fourth. The incident occurred at 2:50 p.m. There were no injuries.

Police responded to a dirt bikes complaint at 7:53 p.m.

Friday

Police assisted Walmart on a report of a fraudulent return at 4:05 p.m.

Peabody

Thursday

A Smidt Avenue resident said a grill was taken about two weeks ago from their residence. The report was filed with police at 6:12 p.m.

Christopher Hunt, 22, of 180A Liberty St. in Middleton, was arrested and charged with operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license, operating a motor vehicle without an inspection sticker and a miscellaneous equipment violation at 6:45 p.m. on Lynn Street.

Edward P. Morando, 29, of 103 Birch St. in Peabody, was arrested and charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon (granite countertop) and domestic assault and battery at 9:18 p.m. at his address.

After only 30 minutes, a woman's stolen credit cards were used to purchase more than $10,000 worth of merchandise. The cards were stolen while the victim was shopping in TJ Maxx on Andover Street at 11:18 p.m.

Friday

Nicholas S. Vozzella, 34, of 69 Piece St. in Malden, was arrested and charged with his second drunken-driving offence and operating a motor vehicle with a suspended registration at 1:28 a.m. on Newbury Street.

Brandon L. Cauley, 26, of 22 Dalton Court in Peabody, was arrested and charged with domestic assault and battery and leaving the scene of a property-damaging accident at 1:42 a.m. at his address.

Boxford

Wednesday

Clayton Cleveland, 58, of 26 Arrowhead Farm Road in Boxford, was arrested and charged with domestic assault and battery and intimidation of a witness at 3:45 p.m. at his address.
