A man reported at 9:15 a.m. that he had heard his neighbors on an unidentified street “saying they had killed a couple of people.” Police wrote: “He related he did hear it last night....and thought he should report it.”
The vice principal at Marblehead High School reported two students had been found with marijuana and paraphernalia at 12:51 p.m.
A Cloutmans Lane woman reported at 2:29 p.m. that she had received a strange text message that said, “Hello this is Tylers mom. What are specs for the weapon? Thank you Renee.”
Police received a 3:02 p.m. report from a woman on Green Street Court who said her neighbors had “unusual people” in the building and that about 10 people were living above her. Police wrote: “At one point she threatened to shoot through the floor with a gun. She was advised that was a threat and she shouldn’t speak like that, she then said that she was only kidding and wouldn’t even know how to use a gun.”
A man in a gray Kia pulled over on Pleasant Street and said, “Excuse me,” prompting a female on foot to run home and tell her mother, according to a 7:02 p.m. report. An officer was unable to locate the vehicle.
A 10:01 p.m. report that a woman was crying and requesting assistance brought police to Lafayette Street. Troy Maloney, 46, of 13 Lafayette St., Marblehead, was arrested on charges of domestic assault and battery and assault with a dangerous weapon. He was also wanted on a warrant, according to the log.
Police received a 10:42 p.m. report that a white man with a slim build stole a carton of Marlboro cigarettes from the Pump’n Pantry at 137 Newbury St.
A woman reported at 10:47 p.m. that numerous prescriptions had been stolen from her backpack while she was at Pierpont Park earlier in the day.
