A 11:54 p.m. report of a disturbance at 5 Carol Ann Road led to the arrest of Scott Broughton, 26, of the same address, on a charge of domestic assault.


Police conducted a traffic stop at 347 Lynnfield St. at 1:02 a.m. and arrested Garry Zimmerman, 61, of 924 Capitol Landing Road, Williamsburg, Virginia, on a charge of drunken driving and a marked lanes violation.

A traffic stop at Washington and Hourihan streets at 7:54 a.m. resulted in the arrest of Julio Dejesus, 38, of 25 Loris Road, Peabody, on charges of operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license, operating with a revoked registration and having an uninsured motor vehicle.



Police received a 10:52 a.m. report that an elderly person was sitting on the sidewalk on Essex Street with “legs in the roadway.”

A motorist reported at 12:40 p.m. that he had nearly struck a pedestrian on Humphrey Street at the Lynn line “because he was focused reading a digital sign just prior to the walkway.” An officer was going to investigate whether the sign should be moved.



Police conducted a traffic stop on Cabot Street at the Salem line at 5:14 p.m. and arrested Shane Cicoria, 30, of 36 School St., Beverly, on a charge of resisting arrest, in addition to three default warrants.

A 10:16 p.m. report that people were shooting water balloons from a makeshift catapult brought police to 19 Ashton Ave., where they determined no damage had been done. “Homemade device disposed of,” wrote police.

Police received a 9:04 p.m. report that a man in the Dunkin’ Donuts parking lot tried to “call over” a couple kids in the Park Street playground, according to an email from Officer Mike Boccuzzi. “Kids got nervous and didn’t approach,” he wrote. A mother reported the incident. No other similar incidents were reported.
