A woman at 7 Leavitt Court reported at 7:33 a.m. that her vehicle had somehow sustained four flat tires overnight. She indicated that she was having problems with her downstairs tenant. The woman called police back at 7:56 a.m. to complain of harassing text messages from the man.
Police received a 10:46 a.m. report that a woman had her purse stolen by an unknown man as she walked down Artists’ Row at 2 p.m. the day before. The woman reported that she had waited to tell police because the only important things in the purse had been two prescription medications she had just picked up.
A Shillaber Street woman reported finding a “disturbing” note in her mailbox at 12:01 p.m.
A 2:14 p.m. report of “neighbor throwing dog mess onto property” brought an officer to a Gallows Hill Road address.
A 6:52 p.m. report of shoplifting at Walmart resulted in the arrest of Alhaji Kamara, 48, of 27 Douglas Road, Dracut, on a charge of shoplifting.
During a traffic stop on Purchase Street at 3:21 a.m., police arrested Juan Vega, 21, of 22 Fowler St., Danvers, on charges of drunken driving, operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license and a miscellaneous equipment violation.
Police took a 2:45 p.m. report of a domestic assault and battery between brothers at 2 Palmer Ave.
Omar Benitez, 36, of 14 Dodges Row, Wenham, was arrested on charges of receiving stolen property under $250 and receiving stolen property over $250 around 7:30 p.m. He was arrested at the shopping plaza at 15 Walnut St. after a report of a man trying the handles to car doors, an officer said.
Police received a 2:01 p.m. report that a Volvo had fallen off a tow truck on Front Street and struck a house. There were no reported injuries, and the building inspector’s office was notified.
An officer heard a loud bang in the area of the Jewish Community Center, according to a 10:22 p.m. report. Police were unable to locate the source of the noise.
