Christopher Dempsey, 20, of Feeding Hills was arrested at 3:25 p.m. on charges of possession of a Class A drug with intent to distribute. He was pulled over in the vicinity of 210 Andover St.
At 10:22 a.m., a person reported needles on the roadway on Newbury Street. An officer was able to find and dispose of the needles.
A woman reported that her wallet had been stolen from Lahey Medical Center, 1 Essex Center Drive, at 12:01 p.m. the day before.
A black and pink leather jacket worth $130 was reported stolen from 14 Collins St., Apt. 22, at 1:28 p.m.
Kelly J. Olsen, 41, of 55 Newcastle St., Lynn, was arrested on charges of shoplifting from J.C. Penney at the Northshore Mall at 2:06 p.m.
A caller reported being robbed at knifepoint in the vicinity of 25 Winter St. at 2 Mason St. at 8:27 p.m. The victim gave police the name of the robber but later decided not to press charges.
Sesar R. Merino, 31, of 19A Lynnfield St., Lynn, was arrested at 11:47 p.m. at Aborn and Putnam streets on charges of drunken driving, a marked lanes violation and speeding in violation of special regulation.
A 2:24 p.m. report about a suspicious person in a Dumpster at 73 Lafayette St. resulted in the arrest of Michael E. Petroski on a charge of trespassing. His address is listed as only “streets, Salem” in the report.
Carlos D. Lopez, 32, of 41 Ruggles St., Roxbury, was arrested at 4:23 p.m. on charges of driving with a revoked license and failure to obey a traffic sign after being pulled over on Essex Street.
An officer responded to 3 Paradise Road at 7:50 p.m. on a report of a past vehicle break-in. The victim said the window on his car was broken and a Manila folder with a check in it and a baseball cap were missing.
Police responded to Roslyn and Hazel streets at 8:43 p.m. for a report of a vehicle striking a pedestrian during a domestic dispute. It was determined that the car was heading to North Andover. Police in that town were notified and arrested John A. DiStefano, 25, of 42 Jerad Place Road, North Andover, on charges of domestic assault and battery with a dangerous weapon (car door).
Melissa K. Pierce, 21, of 14 Essex St., Salem, was arrested on Bridge Street on charges of drunken driving and a marked lanes violation at 1:43 a.m.
A 2:48 a.m. report of a suspicious car parked on the grass of 259 Highland Ave. resulted in the arrest of Alissa J. Narvaez, 19, of 14 Tidd St., Swampscott, on charges of drunken driving, an open container violation, being minor in possession of alcohol and a marked lanes violation.
Police responded to 47 Roslyn St. at 10:08 a.m. after a man reported damage to the passenger-side window of his truck that appears to be from a rock. There are no suspects or witnesses, according to the log.
A hit-and-run accident was reported at 207 North St. at 5:21 p.m. The victim’s vehicle was rear-ended after stopping for a pedestrian crossing the street.
A car was reportedly broken into in the parking lot of Planet Fitness at 19 Traders Way at 6:03 p.m. The front passenger-side window was broken and a pocketbook was missing, according to the report.
Charles Brown, 52, homeless, was arrested on charges of possession of heroin at 6:57 p.m. near 13 Harbor St. Members of the Special Response Unit were on patrol when they observed a suspicious man seated in his vehicle.
Shoplifting was reported at Market Basket at 227 Highland Ave. at 7:02 p.m. Management reported that a man took $89 worth of items without paying. All items were returned, and a no-trespass order was filed against the man.
Adriano Arias, 57, of 61 Lawrence St., Salem, was arrested on charges of domestic assault and battery and resisting arrest at 2:51 a.m. on Lafayette Street.
After a brief foot pursuit, police arrested Julio C. Romero, 30, of 47 Leavitt St., Salem, on charges of two counts of domestic assault and battery, domestic assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, domestic assault with dangerous weapon, intimidation of a witness, threatening to commit a crime, being a disorderly person, and resisting arrest. He was arrested when police checked the residence around 3:59 a.m. after a 911 hang-up.
A car break-in was reported in the rear lot of the Hawthorne Hotel at 18 Washington Square at 2:42 p.m. A $200 Magellan 4500 GPS and a black bag were stolen.
Tony Wallace, 42, of Raymond, N.H., was arrested and charged with larceny over $250 at Walmart at 55 Brooksby Village Drive, according to a 5:13 p.m. report.
Larceny from a vehicle was reported at Home Depot, 92 Newbury St., at 6:26 p.m.
Garrett Parsons, 26, of 16 Cherry St., Danvers, was arrested on charges of domestic assault and battery at his home at 7:18 p.m.
Rosa Rios, 21, of 12225 Kirkbride Drive, Danvers, was arrested on charges of domestic assault and battery at her home at 11:28 p.m.
A break-in was reported at 9 Summer St. at 9:03 a.m. A safe is missing, according to the police report.
