After a 4:12 p.m. report of an erratic driver on Boston Street, police arrested Jeffrey Palomo, 44, of 6 Powderhouse St., Amesbury, on charges of drunken driving, fifth offense; operating to endanger; and a marked lanes violation.



Police responded to a 5:28 p.m. report of a fight between a man and woman in front of a Humphrey Street liquor store. “One caller declined to leave name but said female was punching male and dragging along ground,” police wrote. A 45-year-old Marblehead man was subsequently taken into protective custody.
