Salsa for Salem schools Saturday night

SALEM — Put on your dancing shoes.

Rockafellas restaurant will host the “Salsa for the Schools” dance Saturday, Feb. 9, from 6 to 9 p.m. The family-friendly event will have food, prizes, entertainment, raffles and — of course — plenty of music and dancing.

The event is a fundraiser for the Salem Education Foundation, a nonprofit organization that provides classroom grants and support to the city’s public schools.

Greg Coles and the Picante Soul Band will provide music, and dance lessons will be offered.

If an attendee can get their school principal or teacher to dance the salsa, Rockafellas will donate $50 or $10, respectively, to the Education Foundation.

Adults will be charged a $30 entry fee, college students are $10, and children through high school age are free. Rockafellas is at 231 Essex St., Salem.
