Monday

Jonathan S. Murphy, 23, 56 Bartlett St., Melrose, was arrested at 4:25 p.m. on Cabot Street on charges of assault with a dangerous weapon and disorderly conduct. Police were called regarding a man with a crow bar. Responding were Patrolmen Antonio Diruzza, Eric Lynch and Mark Panjwani.

Tuesday

Vandalism to a vehicle was reported on Cabot Street at 12:27 a.m. A rear window was smashed, a computer bag taken, according to the log.

An attempt to reach a woman on Cabot Street was unsuccessful. According to the log at 11:46 a.m. an anonymous person had warned that her family was in the process of being evicted and had been "living there without any heat for some months," according to the log. Police plan to return.

Marblehead

Sunday

Aaron C. Howell, 41, 17 Creesy St., Marblehead was arrested at 7:52 p.m. at the home address by officers Chuck Sinclair and Christopher Gallo on a charge of domestic assault and battery. Police responded to a call from someone "hearing some type of domestic situation," according to the log, "screaming and yelling."

Monday

A Toyota hit by a Lincoln Town Car was pushed into a building at the intersection of Atlantic Avenue and Commercial Street, according to a 4:02 p.m. log entry. The building inspector was summoned to test the integrity of the wounded structure.

Peabody

Monday

Missing jewelry from a jewelry box on Central Street was reported to police at 3:26 p.m. There was no sign of forced entry.

The Department of Public Works removed a deer struck by a vehicle on Centennial Drive, according to the log at 5:08 p.m.

Austin Paul Boga, 17, 204 Lynn St., Peabody, was arrested at 9:11 p.m. on Central Street on charges of larceny from the person and stealing less than $250. The victim told police she was robbed at the A Plus Market as the suspect "reached in her motor vehicle and stole $60 cash out of (her) purse and fled on foot down Main Street," according to the log. Police say Boga made the mistake of stealing in sight of someone who knows him, perhaps hoping slight of hand would mask the crime. Officer Antonio Santos, who also knows Boga, went to the home of the uncle of the suspect, where the arrest was made. Officer Matthew Mason also responded.

Tuesday

Two tires on a vehicle on Tremont Street were logged at 12:55 p.m. as slashed. Damage was estimated at $210.

Salem

Sunday

A naked man reportedly found in a ladies rest room on Highland Avenue told police "he had just had fast food," according to the log at 8:30 p.m., "and had to use the restroom really bad, and that he did not know that he had gone into the women's restroom." Police note the man was quite elderly, confused and not all that naked.

Police were called to Dow Street at 10:28 p.m. after a woman and her son had an argument over a broken cellphone and who was going to win the Super Bowl.

Monday

Police responded at 12:14 p.m. to an unsuccessful attempt to steal vehicles from a trailer parked at the Salem Getty on Jackson Street. Car windows were smashed, and the ignition on a 1996 Lexus was popped.

Stephen Michael Lyons, homeless, was arrested at 4:01 on Boston Street by Patrolman John Burke on charges of assault and battery, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and on an outstanding warrant.

A Federal Street resident complained at 5:23 p.m. that someone decided to dump their trash in her backyard.

Broken windows on Lawrence Street were linked to a romantic triangle, according to the log at 9:14 p.m. The victim pointed to the woman now dating her ex-boyfriend. A neighbor said he "saw a gray car pull up with four people inside and a female with blond hair get out and break the window," according to the log.

Tuesday

Judith A. Borden, 52, 3 Clark Ave., Salem, was arrested at 1:19 p.m. at her address by Patrolmen DeeJay Gagnon and Barry Driscoll on a charge of domestic assault and battery. Police had responded to a report that a mother wanted someone removed from the house.

A woman who left her vehicle unlocked told police at 2:46 p.m. she got out of work on Monday to find a door opened a crack and her GPS gone.

Danvers

Sunday

Peter Sorlien, 62, 17.5 State St., Marblehead, was arrested on East Street by officer Peter Shabowich on a charge of domestic assault and battery.

Russell Hemphill, 79, 420 Revere Beach Blvd., Revere, was arrested on Carriage Way by officer Phil Tansey on a charge of disorderly conduct.

Swampscott

Tuesday

Chu Perez-Martinez, 33, 16 Dean St., Southbridge, was arrested at 2 p.m. on Humphrey Street by officer Kevin Reen on charges of breaking and entering and assault and battery. Police say he tried to resume a romantic relationship by interrupting the woman at her place of employment.
