A resident told police that on Foster Street, a woman had "attempted to strike him with a motor vehicle" before reportedly heading down Washington Street at 6:18 p.m. Police made sure to document the incident.
Thursday
Jose Sanchez, 28, of 9a Belleview Ave. in Salem, was arrested and charged with carrying a firearm without a license, unlawful possession of ammunition, possession of a large capacity firearm, possession of a Class A drug (heroin) as well as assault and battery on a police officer at 11:12 a.m. at the Cheesecake Factory at the Northshore Mall on Andover Street. Police said information was still being compiled on the incident and provided few additional details.
Elto V. Desouza, 48, of 23 Mason St. Apt. 1 in Peabody, was arrested and charged with unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and failure to display the owner's name at 1:42 p.m. on Foster Street.
Marblehead
Wednesday
Marblehead police exercised a warrant to arrest Christopher Palacios, 36, of 9 Dartmouth Road in Marblehead on rape charges at 4:05 p.m. at his address. Further details were not immediately available.
A car rolled over while driving down Ocean Avenue at 4:28 p.m., and the driver was trapped initially before being boarded and taken to a nearby hospital by ambulance. The road was shut down for a short period. According to police documents, officials were on scene for about an hour.
Parents were called to the police station after an incident on Ocean Avenue that included a "kid ... riding on the hood of a car while the driver was doing doughnuts." Police did not indicate what the response by the offender's parents might have been at 9:17 p.m.

The occupants of three trucks were asked to leave the McDonald's lot on Andover Street at 11:48 p.m. after reports of "disorderly" behavior.

A plow was reported stolen from a High Street address at 6:19 a.m.

Police investigated but could not find the source of two loud bangs near Mason and Flint streets at 7:48 p.m.
Edward P. McCusker Jr., 29, of 112 Bridge St. in Salem, was arrested and charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and malicious destruction of property over $250 at 10:23 p.m. at the above address. The victim said she was pushed into a table by McCusker after he had difficulty finding his cellphone.
Thursday
An owner of motorcycles reported to police that someone had moved the motorcycles to a different spot in the parking lot and in their place parked a motor vehicle at 2:52 a.m. on Lynde Street. He was advised to talk to the building's owner.
A resident said two approximately $40 transactions were made fraudulently in her name on iTunes at 8:07 a.m. on South Street.
Police responded to a report of a possible domestic assault on Dow Street. When police arrived at 12:30 p.m., the pair said that they had not been fighting but had been trying to move furniture around. During this process they said a number of books fell to the floor, creating the noise. The pair had no visible injuries, according to police.
Luigi F. Fernandez, 22, of 23 Aborn St. in Salem, was arrested and charged with aggravated assault and battery at 3:47 p.m. near Highland Avenue and Heritage Drive. Police responded to a report of a man and woman fighting in the street.

A police officer said he was "literally shocked at the speed" of a car traveling down Cabot Street at 4:12 p.m. The officer said the car was traveling 45 to 50 mph in a 30 mph zone, but that the speed was especially surprising because there were children on the sidewalk and that section of the road had bad visibility. The driver was cited.
Thursday
At 6:11 a.m., police informed a Park Street resident that he needed to wait until 7 a.m. to use a leaf blower.
Kids were reported on the roof of a Eisenhower Avenue residence at 12:27 p.m.
