There was a report of a Dumpster fire at 201 Broughton Drive at 4:45 p.m. The Fire Department put out the blaze, according to a log item.

A man reported to police that someone broke into his car at 6 Rainbow Circle within the past two weeks and stole two DVD players, according to a 3:34 p.m. report.
A package with a LED light set valued at $40 was reported stolen from a Collins Street apartment at 5:44 p.m.
A caller reported that his son’s street hockey net was stolen from in front of 15 Ravenwood Road sometime that morning, according to a 8:19 p.m. report.
Leandro M. Bacelar, 21, of 94 Tremont St., Peabody, was arrested on charges of domestic assault and battery at 9:07 p.m. at his home.
An intoxicated man entered 48 Russell St. while the homeowner was asleep. The man was transported to his home according to 11:30 p.m. report.
A caller reported at 7:51 p.m. that tomato plants were ripped up from the garden at 101 Winona St.
Michael R. Nolan, 20, of 1 Waselchuk Drive, Peabody, and Patrick Glennon, 21, of 183 Lowell St., Apt. 2L, Peabody, were arrested on charges of nighttime break-in to motor vehicle and receiving stolen property over $250 after a caller reported seeing the men going into a neighbor’s car at 60 Proctor Circle, according to a 5:01 a.m. log item. Glennon was additionally charged with disorderly conduct.
Police responded to the Blaney Street parking area at 7:32 p.m. on a report of a possible intoxicated man entering a motor vehicle. Police arrested Peter A. Sholds, of 47 Essex St., Salem, on a charge of drunken driving second offense.
Richard D. Hofacre, 57, homeless, was arrested on a charge of domestic aggravated assault and battery, according to a 9:22 p.m. log item.
Jesica L. Felix, 21, of 22 Grove St., Salem, was arrested on a charge of domestic assault and battery, according to a 3:01 a.m. log item.
Police arrested two people at 7:04 p.m. on charges of public drinking after a report of people drinking at a cemetery at 7 Broad St. Arrested were Judith L. Carpentier, 35, of 356 Jefferson Ave., Salem, and Ralph E. Sciarretta, 44, of 7 Tracey St., Peabody. Sciarretta was also arrested on a warrant out of Salem for shoplifting and two counts of violation of the city’s knife ordinance. They were drinking 24-ounce cans of beer, according to police.
Katherine Y. Clary, 27, of 116 Lafayette St., Salem, was arrested on charges of larceny over $250 and assault and battery at Lafayette and Derby streets at 8:40 p.m.
Sean E. Tibbetts, 25, of Dracut, was arrested on two counts of domestic assault and battery in Washington Square at 11:15 p.m.
Police arrested a large group of people on charges of disturbing the peace at 4:45 a.m. after they had ignored an order from police to break up a party at 20 Osgood St. about a half-hour beforehand. Diaz, 22, of 20 Osgood St., Salem; Santiago Ducos, 25, of 61 Congress St., Salem; Jose Fabian-Garcia, 21, of 14 Mason St., Salem; Eric S. Lopez, 22, of Malden; Francis A. Lora, 26, of 20 Osgood St., Salem; Ironelis Rojas, 23, of 11 Harbor St., Salem; Carlos Santos-Mendoza, 24, of 83 Congress St., Salem; and Kiauris L. Sosa-Polanco, 19, of 16 Dow St., Salem.
A resident at 76 Farragut Road reported that a UPS package had been stolen from the property at 5:28 p.m.
A caller reported a “group of male teens” running down Salem Street to Vinnin Square screaming obscenities, according to a 10:11 p.m. report. An officer gave two 15-year-old boys rides home.
