Salem accident victim ‘fair’ at Boston hospital

SALEM — The elderly man hit by a car Thursday remained in fair condition yesterday at a Boston hospital.

Donald T. Wark, 80, was struck while crossing the street on his way to 9 a.m. Mass at St. Anne’s Church. The driver was cited by police for failing to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk.

Wark is at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston.
