A 2:21 p.m. report that a man was “banging items in his car” brought police to 101 Foster St. “Male party was checked out by Atlantic Ambulance and transported to Salem Hospital for evaluation,” an officer wrote later.
Police conducted a traffic stop at Lowell and Summit streets at 3:19 p.m. and cited a motorcyclist for operating without a helmet. “The bike will be left on the side of the roadway until he returns with a helmet,” wrote police.
A 3:26 p.m. report that a man was “cutting up a box in the parking lot in an aggressive manner” brought police to an Esquire Circle address. “Officers checked the area and located the chopped up boxes, but was unable to locate the party in question,” wrote police.
A pregnant woman was transported to Union hospital in Lynn after a 6:01 p.m. report that she had fallen at an Amanda Way address.
A woman reported at 6:26 p.m. that another woman had videotaped her family on Ruth Avenue, so she got into her vehicle and “cornered” the woman at an intersection. Police determined that the woman in question was actually a property inspector: “House is being foreclosed and party is taking photos of the house,” an officer wrote.
A possibly intoxicated man phoned the police station at least six times in under five minutes to request warrant information regarding another man. “He was told repeatedly that this information would not be released to him,” wrote police. The man then called back and spoke to a lieutenant, who told him the same thing. Then he called the dispatcher and said he’d be reporting the lieutenant to the mayor.
A 10 p.m. report of a fight on Holten Street resulted in the arrest of Matthew Guy, 24, of 5 Pleasant St., Apt. 2, Peabody, on charges of domestic assault and battery and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.
