Saturday

Police issued several verbal warnings for crosswalk violations at Pleasant Street and Mohawk Road, according to the log at 11:25 a.m.

Michael Willie Johnson, born 1994, of 371 River St., Mattapan, was arrested after police received an 11:43 a.m. complaint that two men were in a vehicle trying to steal a wallet. Eventually the suspects fled toward the trails at Seaside Park. Joining in the pursuit and subsequent arrest were officers Dean Peralta, Michael Everett, Daniel Gagnon, Jason Conrad and Lori Knowles.

The windows of a Dodge Caravan at Grace Oliver's Beach were reported as "smashed out," in a 4:40 p.m. log entry.

A motor bike rider complained to police at 6:20 p.m. about being almost run off the road by a Subaru Outback on Atlantic Avenue. Police have the license number.

A lost flip video camera was found at Tony's Pizza. Police were told at 7:28 p.m.

Police took a complaint at 7:41 p.m. of a motorcycle riding on Lafayette Street at up to 80 miles per hour or more.

A Columbia Road resident told police at 9:49 p.m. that her husband chased off three kids playing with fire in front of her house.

Sunday

Police investigated a burglary from a vehicle at 1:45 a.m. on West Shore Drive.

A man on Evans Road complained at 3:28 a.m. that someone banged on the side of his camper. Police checked the area and found no one. They suggested that the man shut off his radio and go to bed.

In a case of road rude, a woman told police at 9:30 a.m. she was cut off by a motorcycle on Essex Street. "He then proceeded to act like a 'jerk' while in front of her, breaking a lot to 'irritate' her and speeding up to cut her off by Pleasant and Baldwin (streets)," according to the log. Police have the license plate number.

It was nothing out of the ordinary, according to police at 11:42 a.m., when they got a report of a man on Atlantic Avenue riding a skateboard and talking to himself. A caller said "he may be on drugs and will create a car accident," according to the log. But police noted he was just "doing his usual 'bizzaro stuff.'"

Monday

Police believe a stolen phone at Maddie's Sail Loft was related to "car breaks that occurred on Ocean Avenue" Sunday night, according to the log at 10:17 a.m. Police tracked this phone to Lynn. Ocean Avenue breaks were reported by the drivers of a Honda, a GMC Sierra and a Jeep Cherokee with a GPS and $2,000 stolen.

A woman told police at 2:14 p.m. that her kayak was stolen off Riverhead Beach — she last saw it three days before.

An accident at Front Street and Ferry Lane at 3:45 p.m. sent a pedestrian to Salem Hospital with a foot injury.

A resident on Lafayette Street told police at 4:17 p.m. that her bulkhead door showed evidence of someone trying to get in.

A complaint of "loud cannons being shot off" had police stymied in trying to locate them at 9 p.m.

Fireworks were said to be landing on a house on Pitman Road at 9:16 p.m.

A "smoldering pile" on the pier at Clark Landing was extinguished by the Fire Department at 9:47 p.m.

A 10:32 p.m. report of "gargantuan" fireworks could not be confirmed by police.

Tuesday

Nathaniel P. Smith, born 1989, 18 Atlantic Ave., Marblehead, was arrested at 12:21 a.m. at the Boston Yacht Club on a charge of breaking and entering in the night and resisting arrest. Officers Christopher Adkerson, Christopher Gallo and Roy Ballard participated in the arrest. A caller had reported seeing three kids entering the club kitchen.

A police officer suffered broken glasses transporting a "combative" patient to the hospital at 2:05 a.m. Police were drawn initially by a report of "someone outside screaming/ yelling," according to the log.

Peabody

Sunday

Police may have a lead in a vandalism spree in West Peabody. A security camera in a home vandalized on Mandalay Drive may have captured an image of the vandal who also threw a rock through a window on Lake Shore Road at 5:09 a.m. and another through a window on Herrick Road at 5:26 a.m. Vehicles were damaged on Lake Shore Road, as well as Janet Lane (twice), Louis Road (twice), Tara Road, Livingston Drive (twice), Bartholomew Street (twice), Andover Street, Cashman Road, Joy Road and, reported later in the morning, Anne Drive, Perley Avenue (thrice), Christina Drive and Greenwood Road. Police have affirmed that catching the offenders is "a top priority."

A woman on Veterans Memorial Drive told police at 12:26 p.m. that her vehicle was damaged by her neighbor's fireworks the night before.

A resident on Linden Road reported at 5:24 p.m. that his windshield had been smashed by a rock.

Residents on Whitney Drive came home to discover a rock had been thrown through the glass window on their front door, according to a 7:29 p.m. log entry.

Police responded to multiple complaints regarding fireworks throughout the holiday weekend.

A 28-year-old Peabody man will be summonsed for driving an unregistered and uninsured vehicle following a stop on Donegal Road at 10:03 p.m.

Monday

A 54-year-old Peabody man will be summonsed for disturbing the peace following a 1:13 a.m. call about a noisy party on Hampshire Road.

A front window at Contain A Pet on Route 1 was reported smashed at 2:34 a.m., but entry did not appear to have been made.

Danvers

Sunday

Reading residents Patrick Harney, 18, of 35 Henzie St., and Michael Dennis, 18, of 40 Glenmere Circle Road, were arrested and charged with trespassing at 5:52 p.m. after police received a report of "teens threatening people" near the yacht club.

Police investigated a breaking and entering at a trailer on Route 1 at 6:51 p.m.

A $70 scratch ticket figured in a larceny call at the Village Food Shop at 9:41 p.m.

Monday

Sean Doyle, 24, of 164 Summer St., Danvers, was arrested at home at 12:21 a.m. by Officer Steven McDonald on a charge of domestic assault and battery.

Kimberly Curtis, 42, of 16 Ash St., Danvers, was arrested at 2:28 a.m. on Ash Street by Officer Scott Frost on a charge of drunken driving, a second offense.

Luis DeSousa, 41, of 47 Ferry St., Everett, was arrested on High Street at 7:03 p.m. by Officer Scott Frost on a charge of driving without a license. He was also wanted on an outstanding warrant related to traffic.

Mark Forman, 19, of 24 Parsonage Lane, Topsfield, was arrested on Route 1 by Officer Scott Frost and charged with being a minor transporting alcohol.

Police responded to multiple fireworks complaints throughout the holiday weekend.

Middleton

Monday

Sean McCarthy, 26, of 23 Ogden Lane, Middleton, was arrested near the Candlelight Motor Inn by Officer Adam Maccini and Sgt. Robert Currier on charges of disorderly conduct, threats to commit a crime and resisting arrest. Police say they originally attempted to put McCarthy into protective custody.

Beverly

Saturday

Police responded to a report of an assault at the vicinity of the Panther Pub on Rantoul Street at 12:50 a.m. A 25-year-old woman is listed as the potential victim, and an ambulance was summoned.

An alleged domestic dispute drew police to Tozier Road at 2:09 a.m.

Mathew W. Martens, 39, of 7 Central St., Beverly, was arrested on Central Street on a charge of domestic abuse at 3:25 a.m. by officers John McCarthy, Samuel Lane and Michael Backstrom.

An ambulance was called after a cyclist was reported down on Worthington Green at 11:21 a.m.

An accident with personal injury was reported at 3:52 p.m. on Elliot and Beckford streets.

Several illegally parked cars led to 11 tickets being given on Evergreen Drive at 4:38 p.m.

Police handled numerous complaints regarding fireworks throughout the evening hours.

Sunday

A report of a fight brought police to Rantoul and Creek streets at 1:26 a.m.. "Group dispersed," according to the log, "after item was thrown into passing vehicle."

Jeremy W. Lafave, 26, and Scarlet Lefave, 24, both of 14 Lenox St., Beverly, were arrested at 1:39 a.m. by Officer David Grimes and charged with disturbing the peace after police were called to investigate another fight at Pond and Rantoul streets.

Ray Charles Quinn, 44, of 5 Belmount St., Amesbury, was arrested on Northridge Road at 3:15 a.m. by Patrolmen Frank Wojick and David Grimes on a charge of assault and battery. He was also wanted for an outstanding warrant elsewhere. Police had responded to a report of an "unwanted guest" and possible domestic abuse.

Police were called to a business on Route 128 at 11:14 a.m. where a video showed an employee stealing.

A text from a man who declared he wanted to die had police searching for him at 2:07 p.m. The man, wanted in Salem on a domestic assault complaint, eventually was contacted. He told officers he was going to the Beverly Hospital.

Police were called at 10:42 p.m. to investigate a burglary on Whitney Avenue.

Monday

Police continued to respond to complaints about fireworks throughout the evening hours.

A loud party on Wallis Street at 1:10 a.m. was one of several police asked to shut down for the night.

Vandalism to a vehicle was reported at Beverly Commons Drive, according to a 1:04 p.m. log entry.

A patio table was reported at 3:40 p.m. as stolen from the patio on Beverly Commons Drive.

A burglary on Bates Park Avenue was investigated, according to a 7:31 log entry.

Tuesday

A man on Dodge Street told police at 2:05 a.m. that "a white car passed him and made threats." He could not identify the occupant of the car and he was transported home by police.

People seeking scrap metal from the backyard of a shop on River Street were told at 3:27 a.m. to put it all back and do not return without written permission from the owner. The business, the Auto Body Clinic, told police they allow people to take scrap metal, but "only during business hours," according to the log.

A vehicle's window was shattered on Federal Street, according to the log at 7:25

"Missing money" on Cabot Street drew police at 9:15 a.m.

An iPhone was reported stolen on Brackenbury Lane at 10:57 a.m.

Salem

Monday

A man will be summonsed for illegal possession of a 12 gauge shotgun, firing near a dwelling and other gun charges after police were summoned to Tinker's Island at 3:45 p.m. A reserve police officer from Southborough told two assistant harbormasters that someone had fired "a long gun off the back of the island in (his) direction." Police confiscated the gun. The owner told police he and a friend were skeet shooting. His license to have the gun, however, had expired.

Police were seeking a warrant at 3:58 p.m. for a man following a charge that he attacked his wife on Balcomb Street. She said her husband became angry when a friend referred to him using a racial slur in a text message. "He took out his anger on her," according to the log, pulling her hair out of her head, breaking things, throwing his clothes outside and then urinating on them. The wife had a bruise on her left arm. She was informed of her right to protection from the courts.

Police responded, arranging medical assistance following a suicide attempt on Highland Avenue at 7:25 p.m.

Jose Francisco Tejada, 37, of 57 Harbor St., Salem, was arrested on Harbor Street at 9:36 p.m. by Patrolmen Radames Gonzalez and William Olivieri on charges of domestic assault and battery, intimidation of a witness and threatening to commit a crime.

A juvenile girl was arrested on Derby Street at 9:42 p.m. by Detective Peter Baglioni and Sgt. Richard Gagnon for violating an anti-harassment order regarding another girl, resisting arrest and kicking one of the officers. Police say she was told three times to stay away, but was found within 10 feet of the girl and responded to an effort at reasoning with her by yelling and screaming.

A woman told police at 10:12 p.m. that she left her bag on a back porch on Kosciusko Street in order to see the fireworks. When she returned, her $300 camera and a $200 cellphone were missing, her Kindle damaged.

A woman on Derby Street told police at 10:27 p.m. that someone threw a water balloon from a condo, hitting her in the head, knocking off her glasses and breaking them. The owner of the condo said he was not at home at the time but had guests there watching the fireworks. He has agreed to pay for new glasses.

On Congress Street, a woman asking a car to move so her taxi could proceed told police at 10:38 p.m. she was then assaulted by the occupants, three men, who reached into the cab, struck her face and grabbed her cellphone, throwing it into the street. Police retrieved the cellphone. She offered a license number of the offender's car, but it did not correspond to any vehicle. The woman was not seriously injured.
