Ipswich: 27th Annual Ipswich Art Show and Sale, 5 p.m., Ipswich Town Hall, 25 Green St. Celebrate art, culture, history and the Ipswich River. Art show and sale features works of art by Ipswich residents. Free admission; donations welcome. 5 to 10 p.m., art exhibit at Town Hall; 7 to 10 p.m., opening reception with food, beverages, live music with Tom Palance & Friends, and a presentation of the Massachusetts Cultural Council Gold Star Award. Weekend-long event.

Beverly: Benefit performance, 6 p.m., North Shore Music Theatre, 62 Dunham Road. Join North Shore Community Action Programs and the North Shore Music Theatre for a pre-show reception at 6 p.m. with a light dinner, cash bar, raffle prizes and a chance auction, followed by an 8 p.m. performance of “La Cage aux Folles.” Event supports NSCAP’s homeless prevention services on the North Shore. Tickets cost $65.

Salem: A “Knight Out,” 7 p.m. to 12 a.m., Salem Knights of Columbus Hall, 94 Washington Square. The Beverly Knights of Columbus, in conjunction with neighboring Knights of Columbus chapters, will host a benefit for the family of Boston Marathon bombing victim Martin Richard. Event includes catered food, live music/DJ, silent auction and a cash bar. $25 per ticket. All proceeds directly benefit the Richard family.
