---- — BEVERLY — A Glidden Street street woman awoke to an unexpected surprise Saturday morning — a stranger sleeping on her sofa who had helped herself to the kitchen.

Reagan O’Neill, 19, of 4 Greenleaf Drive, Danvers, was arrested on a charge of trespassing after the homeowner called police at 8:30 a.m.

O’Neill made her way into the home through the kitchen window sometime overnight, according to police. The screen was found displaced in the morning.

Police said the homeowner found the kitchen a mess after O’Neill apparently made a meal for herself and left the stove on. There was a strong odor of alcohol on O’Neill, and she seem confused as to why she was in the home, police said.

The Glidden Street home is about 4 miles away from O’Neill’s listed address.
