Debates set for tonight, tomorrow

BEVERLY — Candidates for mayor and other city offices are scheduled to take part in debates tonight and tomorrow night.

Tonight’s debate will be held at 7 at the Centerville Improvement Society, 437 Essex St. Candidates for mayor, city councilor-at-large, Ward 6 city councilor and Ward 6 School Committee are scheduled to participate.

Tomorrow, Beverly Main Streets and 30 & Main will hold a debate/candidates night from 7 to 9 in the Beverly High School auditorium.

There will be a moderated forum with mayoral candidates Wes Slate and Mike Cahill and remarks by City Council candidates for Ward 2, Ward 3 and councilor-at-large. Candidates for all offices will be available for a meet-and-greet from 6 to 7 p.m.

Both events are free and open to the public.
