The town's Light Department was notified of a line down in a Crestwood Road yard at 9:56 a.m.
On Atlantic Avenue, a basketball was reported stolen when a mother and son went into a store and left the ball and bikes outside at 3:38 p.m. The bikes were fine, but the ball was gone.
Salem

A man who admitted to police that he walked out on a $24.06 tab at Tavern in the Square at 5:10 p.m. on Washington Street said he would pay the bartender within two weeks when he was able to get the money. The bartender agreed, and police said if the guest did not comply he would be issued a summons.
A domestic dispute resulted in a phone call to police at 7:30 p.m. on Tremont Street. The argument, initially thought to be over keys, was actually over which school the kids were going to attend.
Daniel Moya, 18, of 6 Park St. in Salem, was arrested and charged with impeded operating and operating a motor vehicle without being a licensed driver at 10:51 p.m. on Washington Street. Police said "several beaded necklaces and air fresheners" blocked her rearview mirror.
Friday
A person said the after-hour codes provided by the Goodhue Street public storage company did not work, resulting in him being locked inside at 12:44 a.m. Police helped the man get out of the storage facility.
