Sunday

Police received a report at 6:46 p.m. of three hypodermic needles in the 100 block of Federal Street.

Police responded to Walgreens on New Derby Street at 7:39 p.m., following a report of a fight inside. Patrolmen Dana Mazola and Ryan Davis responded and found the clerk, who claimed she confronted the suspected shoplifter and he pushed her. The clerk said she didn't see the man take anything but suspected he stole an energy drink. Sgt. Kristian Hanson found the suspected shoplifter, who denied stealing anything and pushing the clerk. He said the clerk pushed him. Police told both they could seek out complaints against each other at Salem District Court.

Police received a report at 9:47 p.m. of hypodermic needles in front of CVS on Essex Street near Boston Street.

Police received a report at 9:48 p.m. of a man in the commuter rail tunnel. Police checked and there was no man there.

Monday

A pair ran out of The Old Spot on Essex Street without paying their bill, but a customer was able to get the duo's license plate number, "CARRS."

Police received a report at 10:11 a.m. of damage to a car on Raymond Road after someone threw a flower pot at a 2001 Ford Escort.

Vandals damaged murals painted on cement barriers in Salem Willows by apparently throwing rocks at them and chipping away at the paint. Police were notified of the damaged murals at 10:22 a.m.

Police responded to the Plummer Home for Boys on Winter Island Road after staff there discovered a plastic bag filled with marijuana inside a backpack belonging to one of the residents.

Police received a report at 3 p.m. that two cars parked on White Street were keyed.

Beverly

Friday

Dasheem L'shawn-James Dew, 18, of 332 Rantoul St., Beverly, was arrested at 4:52 p.m. and charged with unarmed robbery and assault and battery, following a report of a bicycle taken from a playground on Grant Street.

Police responded to the area of 373 Elliott St. at 3:27 a.m., following a report of a car that crashed into a parked car.

Saturday

John T. Reddy Jr., 32, of 24 Arthur St., Beverly, was arrested at 5:43 p.m. and charged with disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, assault and battery, attempting to commit a crime, and assault, following a report of a fight in front of the Beverly Depot restaurant on Park Street.

Sunday

Alex C. Najarian, 21, of 10 Golden Crest Ave., Waltham, was arrested at 3:17 a.m. and charged with domestic assault and battery and witness intimidation, following a report of a past assault at Endicott College.

Police received a report at 1:17 p.m. from a woman who said her husband threw her ring on the ground on Park Street.

Police received a report at 4:34 p.m. of a break-in at a Marsh Avenue residence.

Police received a report at 7:30 p.m. of a break-in at an Andover Road residence.

Police received a report at 9:37 p.m. of a couple copulating in a car on Beaver Pond Road.

Jessica R. Timmons, 31, of 551 Cabot St., Beverly, was arrested at 2:54 p.m. and charged with witness intimidation and two counts of assault and battery, following a report of women fighting at a Charles Street address.

John Keefe, 36, of 275 Old Marsh Hill Road, Dracut, was arrested at 10:48 p.m. and charged with driving with a revoked license, following a motor vehicle stop on Route 1.

Monday

Marcely Riviera, 42, of 101 Lowell St., Peabody, was arrested at 2:40 p.m. and charged with shoplifting at Kohl's.

Boxford

Michael P. McGowan, 33, of 26 Seville St., Saugus, was arrested at 10:30 p.m. and charged with drunken driving (second offense), possession of prescription drug (Suboxone) and an open-container violation, following a motor vehicle crash on King George Drive.

Peabody

Lusvi Mauricio, 30, of 45 Hanover St., Apt. 1, Lynn, was arrested at 5:22 p.m. and charged with driving while unlicensed, following a motor vehicle stop on Jubilee Drive.
