The side window of a Nissan Altima was broken in the parking lot off Klop Street. The owner reported a black duffel bag missing from the vehicle at 12:09 a.m.

After a woman called on behalf of her friend, police took a drunken man into protective custody near Essex and Washington streets at 1:41 a.m. because they claimed he was following them.

A woman will be summonsed to court for going 55 mph in a 35 mph zone and driving without a license at 6:05 a.m. near Highland Avenue and Traders Way.

After barking dogs were reported on Winthrop Street at 12:38 p.m., it took officers about 13 minutes to quiet the pets and leave the area.

A scooter lock was reported stolen at 2:29 p.m. on Lynde Street.

Peabody

Wednesday

Hermelindo Ramirez, 30, of 9 Ainsworth Place, Apt. 1, Lynn, was arrested and charged with unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and failure to signal at 2:28 p.m. on Lynn Street.

Robert J. Willwerth III, 46, of 70 Summit Road, Medford, was arrested and charged with operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license and failure to yield or stop at 9:11 p.m. near Lowell and Endicott streets.

Thursday

A car accident did not cause injuries at 10:04 a.m. in front of Chandler's Ice Cream on Andover Street.

Egnaldo Barra, 36, of 116 Irving St., Apt. 2, Watertown, was arrested and charged with unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle at 11:21 a.m. near Andover Street and Route 128.

A Sherwood Avenue resident said jewelry had been stolen from his home, but he was not able to locate any point of forced entry at 12:14 p.m.

A disabled motor vehicle was assisted off the road because it was sitting in traffic on Endicott Street at 5:54 p.m.

Thursday

A hit-and-run accident was reported on Endicott Street near Market Basket at 9:25 a.m.

Catalytic converters were reported stolen from Ira Lexus on Andover Street at 2:15 p.m. and the Liberty Tree Mall on Independence Way at 4:13 p.m.

Marblehead

Wednesday

A caller was alarmed enough to call the police when she heard a car blaring music on Fort Sewall Lane blaring music and a kid in the front seat wearing a hat and smoking a joint. She reported the offending vehicles license plate to police at 10:39 p.m.

Beverly

Wednesday

There was a verbal disagreement over security cameras on Rantoul Street at 4:32 p.m.

Thursday

Police removed a set of unofficial roadblocks that they said were likely set up by kids in the street near Lathrop and Central streets.

Police received a report of a possible gunshot heard on Elliott Street at 9:46 a.m.

Marisa A. Maglio, 37, of 1603 Broughton Drive, Beverly, was arrested and charged with assault by means of a dangerous weapon and assault and battery at 10:07 a.m. at East Street.
