Danvers police investigating nursing home thefts

The Salem News

DANVERS — Danvers police are investigating property theft from a senior living community that occurred on Saturday.

Surveillance footage shows a man entering the facility and stealing property from staff offices and a recreational room. The same man was also reported seen entering a second assisted living facility in Danvers on Sunday.

Police say there is no information suggesting any patient or resident's personal information was accessed or stolen.

Danvers police have provided this information to police departments in surrounding cities and towns, and have contacted all nursing, assisted living and rehabilitation facilities in Danvers alerting them of the theft and providing them images of the subject. Police asked all facilities to review their physical security and access control policies, and were urged to report any suspicious people or activities to police immediately.

Anyone who recognizes the subject should contact Detective Robert Sullivan at 978-774-1388.
