Slide show: Extreme sports show

PEABODY — Journey's Backyard BBQ Tour - a blend of extreme sports and local bands, took place at the Northshore Mall  Saturday and featured a mix of skateboarders, BMX and motocross athletes.

The event featured skateboarding pros such as Bob Burnquist will be joined by X Games athletes like BMX's Ryan Nyquist, Cape Cod native Marcus Tooker and veteran motocross rider Derek Garland, showing their tricks and techniques on a 60,000-square-foot alternative sports area.
