Our readers celebrate St. Patrick's Day

Whether it’s baking Irish soda bread, playing Irish music or donning green garb, many North Shore residents will celebrate St. Patrick’s Day today.

Rooted in a Catholic holiday, St. Patrick's Day has evolved into a celebration of Irish culture, and for many, it is a day of fun and festivities — and eating a traditional boiled dinner of corned beef and cabbage, topped off with Irish soda bread.

The Salem News checked in with local readers to see how they mark St. Patrick's Day. Enjoy, and Happy St. Patrick's Day!
