Rosina M. Di Croce, 93


Peabody MA — Rosina Maria DiCroce, 93, formerly of Peabody, died on Thursday, December 19, 2013, at the Putnam Farm Assisted Living in Danvers, after a brief illness.

She was born in Peabody on July 15, 1920, and was the daughter of the late D. Antonio and Maria (Di Cristofaro) Di Croce. She was raised, educated and resided most of her life in Peabody. She was a 1937 graduate of Peabody High School and later graduated from Berdette College in Lynn.

Rosina had been a secretary in the medical library section of the Salem Hospital for 25 years prior to her retirement in 1985.

She was an active member of St. John the Baptist Church in Peabody, serving as a teacher in the CCD classes and was a member of the St. John’s Ladies Sodality. She was an avid reader, and enjoyed the theater and the arts. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially her nieces and nephews

She is survived by her sister, Edith Manzi of Beverly; and several nieces and nephews; and grandnieces and grandnephews. She was the sister of the late Albert, James, Henry and Susie Di Croce, and Louise Del Gizzi.

ARRANGEMENTS: A visitation will be held on Friday, from 9 to 10:30 a.m., at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn Street, Peabody, followed by a funeral Mass in St. John the Baptist Church, 16 Church Street, Peabody, at 11 a.m. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Salem.
