BEVERLY — Mary J. Clancy, 90, beloved wife of the late John D. Clancy, passed away Thursday, November 1, at Beverly Hospital. Born in Lynn, she is the daughter of the late John and Bridget (O’Brien) Hanrahan.
Mary grew up in Lynn and was a graduate of Lynn Schools. She and her husband John moved to Beverly in the mid 1960s. For many years, Mary was employed as a secretary at the General Electric Company until her retirement. She loved music and enjoyed going to shows at the North Shore Music Theater.
She is survived by her brother-in-law, Richard and his wife Frances Clancy formally of Beverly and their children, Mary’s nieces and nephews, Michael Clancy, Frances J Clancy, Mary Beth Clancy, Richard Clancy (Nancy) Deirdre Clancy-Kelley (LeRoy) and several great-nieces and nephews, and cousin Eileen Clancy; and her cousins, Eileen O’Brien of Marblehead, Joanne O’Brien of Lynn, Michael O’Brien of Salem, William O’Brien of Dracut and Kathy (O’Brien) Noddin of Calif.
ARRANGEMENTS: A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Saint Mary Star of the Sea Church, 253 Cabot Street, Beverly, on Saturday at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held at the Campbell-Lee, Moody Russell Funeral Home, 525 Cabot Street, Beverly (North Beverly Location) on Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. Burial will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Lynn.
