Beverly — William J. Conway, 65, beloved husband of Cheryl Ann (Townsend) Conway and adoring father of Allyson Conway, died Thursday, April 18, 2013, at the Beverly Hospital due to complications from cancer which he was very recently diagnosed with.
Born and raised in Beverly, he was the son of the late James and Roseann (Levesque) Conway. He graduated from Beverly High School and continued his education at the University of Massachusetts Amherst where he earned his degree.
Bill had been employed for many years as a union electrician for the I.B.E.W. Local #103 until the time of his retirement.
In addition to his wife, with whom he shared over 24 years of marriage, he is survived by his daughter, Allyson Conway; a brother, Peter Conway of Beverly; and a nephew, Tom Conway of Vermont. Bill greatly enjoyed spending his summer days in his garden and at West Beach in Beverly Farms with family and friends.
ARRANGEMENTS: A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Margaret’s Church, 672 Hale St., Beverly Farms, Wednesday, April 24, 2013, at 11 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
