Beverly, MA — Jean Fraser Keenan, 91, wife of the late Edward E. Keenan, Jr., died Tuesday April 23, at the Herrick House in Beverly surrounded by her loving family. Born in Salem, daughter of the late Harry C. and Mary (Dooley) Fraser, she was a graduate of Salem High School and the former Salem Normal School. Mrs. Keenan was formerly employed at the Pequot Mills as an executive secretary. She lived most of her life in Beverly and Wenham. Mrs. Keenan lived at the Maples in Wenham for many years and was active in the Maples community. She spent many years with her husband as first mate on their sailboat the Cygnus. Mrs. Keenan was a parishioner of the Church of St. Paul. What she enjoyed most was spending time with her family and her afternoons out with her many friends and particularly her weekly cocktail hour on the phone with her friend Laura.
Surviving her are one son, Edward E. Keenan III and his wife, Dorothy, of Salem; three daughters, Sally K. Treantos and her husband, Greg, of Topsfield; Ann K. Price and her husband, Jack, of Duluth, Minn.; and Martha K. Field and her husband, Glen, of Sunapee, N.H.; ten grandchildren, Craig, Eddie, Stacie, Jeff, Chris, Keenan, Andrew, Jamie, Danielle and Ben; three great grandchildren, Brianna, Wyatt and Evan. She was the sister of the late Harry Fraser, Jr. who died March of 2013.
ARRANGEMENTS: A funeral Mass will be celebrated at the Church of St. Paul, 50 Union St., Hamilton, on Saturday at 11 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours at Campbell – Lee, Moody, Russell Funeral Home, 525 Cabot St., Beverly (North Beverly location) on Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. Burial will be in Wenham Cemetery.
