Eleanor L. (Simpson) Morin, age 84, loving wife of the late Charles Morin, with whom she shared 51 years of marriage, died Monday morning, February 20, 2012, at the NSMC Salem Hospital. Born in Salem, Mrs. Morin was the daughter of the late Harold and Helen (Cavanaugh) Simpson. She attended Pickering School and Salem High School.
Mrs. Morin started her career with Hytron in Salem and had also worked with Goodwill Industries as a sorter of donated items. Mrs. Morin’s primary career was a homemaker, caring lovingly for her family. She also enjoyed camping in Ossipee, NH, with her family, nature and her pets.
Surviving her are five children, Linda Morin of Salem; James Morin and his wife Deborah of Cape Cod; Charles Morin of Merritt Island, FL; Paul W. Morin of Salem; and Peter Morin and his wife Elaine of Salisbury. She was also the sister of Joan Langis of Englewood, FL, and grandmother of six, great-grandmother of nine and aunt of two.
ARRANGEMENTS: Mrs. Morin’s funeral will be held at the Murphy Funeral home, 85 Federal St. (Cor of North St.), Salem, on Thursday at 10:30 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. A visitation will be held prior to the service from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Interment will be held in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Salem.
