Mary G. Holland, 96

WENHAM - Mary G. (Gates) Holland, 96, wife of the late Timothy H. Holland died Monday, Jan. 28, 2008 at Caldwell Nursing Home in Ipswich.

Born in Marshfield, daughter of the late Alfred and Mary Ellen (Stapleton) Gates, She lived in Beverly Farms for many years and also resided in Hamilton and Wenham. Mrs. Holland was employed on various estates in the area and was retired. She was a gentle and kind woman who loved her family. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.     Mrs. Maria Frances (Bouchard) Gates, 96, of Salem, beloved wife of the late Earl F. Gates, died Wednesday, February 8, 2012 at the Grosvenor Park Nursing Home in Salem.

    Born in Salem, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Adelaide (Gauthier) Bouchard. She was raised and educated in Salem and was a lifelong resident of the City of Salem.

  • Michael John Campbell, 54

    Michael John Campbell, 54, son of Catherine (Carr) Clark of Danvers and the late Robert W. Campbell, died on Tuesday, February 7 in Biddeford. Michael was a native of Beverly, Massachusetts and a graduate of Beverly High School. After graduation, he went on to become an accomplished chef, including working on an Alaskan cruise ship and in many well-known hotel restaurants throughout the country. One of his favorite jobs included his tenure as the head chef at a well known resort in Wyoming. Returning to New England ten years ago, Michael settled in Coastal Maine where he most recently enjoyed being an antiques dealer and distributor. Michael was a man who lived “out loud with a big heart.”

    Myra Clunie, 91, formerly of Danvers, passed peacefully on February 4. Myra was raised in Great Neck, NY, and attended Hofstra University. Her family summered in Maine where she met her husband, Frederick Clunie of Newcastle. Myra worked for NBC in NY while Fred served with the Marines in WWII. Son Jeffrey and daughter Barbara were born in Houlton, ME. Upon Fred’s return from the Korean War, they lived in Massachusetts where son Richard was born, settling in Danvers where they had many friends. Fred worked as Guidance Director for 24 years in Peabody and Marblehead schools.

She was 90 years old and had a wonderful life. She leaves behind five children, Linda Levesque of Lynchburg, VA, Donna Leggett of Newport, RI, Joseph Ray LeBrun Jr. of Manchester, NH, Debbie LeBrun of Deltona, Fl and Rick LeBrun of Port Orange, Fl; 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; sisters, Adelaide Emmett of Peabody, MA, Lenora Richard of Deltona, Fl; brother, Louis Limauro of Port Orange, Fl, Preceded in death by brothers, Harry Limauro Jr. of Port Orange, Fl and Rudolph Limauro of Lynn, MA.

    Roman Hezzey of Ipswich, Knight of St. Gregory the Great, and beloved husband of Mary (Burbela) Hezzey, died at 88 in his home surrounded by his family.

    Born and educated in the Ukraine, he was the son of the late Demetro and Julia (Smolnetska) Hezzey. He came to the United States in 1949, became engaged to his wife of sixty two years within a month. They resided for many years in New Haven, CT, before moving to Ipswich, MA.

    Born in Nashua, New Hampshire, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Mary (Karvalas) Rentoumis. She was raised and educated in Salem earning her undergraduate and Master Degree in Education at Salem State College.

    Dan was born in Manchester, MA, and was the son of Donald and Lucille Goodwin. He attended Manchester schools, graduating with the Class of 1977. After attending the University of Vermont, Dan enjoyed a 30 year career working for, and eventually co-owning, Hall & Emslie Landscaping of Manchester.

    Jane E. Wilson, 67, of Danvers, passed away on Tuesday, February 7, 2012 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House after a long, courageous battle with cancer.

    Jane was born in Peabody July 14, 1944 the daughter of the late George and Margaret (Kneeland) Wilson. Jane was raised and educated in Peabody, graduating from Peabody High School and attending Salem State College where she obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in 1966 followed by a Master’s in education. She enjoyed her college experience, singing in a folk group, playing basketball and cultivating a wonderful group of enduring friends. At Salem State the custom was to seat alphabetically by last name, bonding the students whose names began from R– Z for the next 4 years. Schaefer, Walsh, Wallace, Wiggin, Wilson, Woodman, Yaffa and Zuppio remain friends to this day.

    A longtime member of the Tedesco Country Club, she enjoyed golf and bridge. Her extensive travels included a trip around the world with her brother, the late F. James Carr.

    She was the wife of the late Alfred J. "Fred" Gosselin. Born and raised in Salem, she was the daughter of the late John and Mary (Pawlik) Psuik. She had lived in Lynn and Peabody for the majority of her life.

    Lawrence J. Paul, 83, of Brooksby Village in Peabody and formerly of Danvers died peacefully on Monday morning February 6, 2012 while surrounded by his family. He was the husband of the late Dorothy (Dullea) Paul. Born in Peabody, Larry was educated there and later graduated from Burdett College with a degree in Finance. He was employed at Beverly Hospital in the finance department and later was the Town Accountant in Danvers for over twenty years. He retired in 1988. An avid reader and local sports enthusiast, Mr. Paul was one of the first residents at Brooksby Village. He helped set up a finance resource center and was active in establishing the on site Church where he served as a Eucharistic Minister. He loved time spent with his family and taking trips to Lake Winnipesaukee. Mr. Paul served his country during WWII with the U.S. Army Air Patrol. He was the son of the late Alfred and Olive (Salome) Paul and father of the late Kenneth Paul. He leaves his children; Patricia Fales of Ayer, MA, Annmarie Vasiles and her husband Bill of Peabody, Robert Paul and his wife K.T. of Tyngsboro and Brian Paul of Beverly. He was the loving grandfather to; Jourdan, Kasie, Eryn, Jenna, Nathaniel and Breannah. Also leaving several nieces and nephews.

    Bill was born on September 16, 1922, in Springhill, Nova Scotia, Canada to Greta Tower and William Andrew Reiley.His father died in 1924 and his mother moved to Salem, MA. She married Bertram O’Brien in 1929.
